Very friendly staff and clean place to stay with picture view rooms. Delicious breakfast and dinner. The manager Chiara and the receptionist are fantastic people.
This place is superior in terms of everything. I gave 5 star rating on my last stay till I got food poisoning today from the breakfast. They worked really hard to make the place nice. I really don’t know which food caused me ill and I could not do hiking instead of keeping throwing up.
Very easy to find. Lovely hotel, friendly staff. Very good breakfast. Comfortable and clean room. However, I could listen to the conversation next door through the wall.
While there were no other restaurants nearby, the one at the hotel served local Italian foods which we really enjoyed. The frontdesk was friendly, helpful, and courteous.
Wonderful experience! Extremely kind, friendly, and accommodating staff. Lovely room and easy parking in a convenient location for many Dolomite adventures.
Mountain View, great staff on the front desk especially the younger one with ear pierce who gave us really useful information on locals mountains, trails etc. Nice clean room with view for good price. Taxi was €75 from Cortina.
We loved staying at this hotel. It’s a 25 minute drive from Cortina city but the location is very lovely and quaint. The staff (servers especially) are wonderful and my husband said the pizza was the best he had in Italy (we ate pizza every day for 2 weeks). They offer gelato and there’s a cold spring water fountain across the road from the hotel, but if you’re anticipating wanting other snacks, best to pick up when you’re in a bigger town / before you head back to hotel.
This darling hotel/lodge is perfect for a quiet stay in the Dolomites. Not fancy, but clean and cozy! The restaurant is fantastic with cuisine representing the diverse cultures of the Dolomites- the pasta with boar meat way a favorite. Staff is helpful, especially for hiking trails. Love this place - will be back!

The hotel is a good choice if you are looking to save some money. It is about a 30 minute drive from Cortina and there is not much around. That being said, it was perfect for what we needed and the staff were extremely helpful and nice.
This property is amazing and one of a kind. Has old charm with an amazing staff and view! Yes the property is older but the staff are the absolute most kind and helpful people. The rooms are so comfortable and charming and the view is impeccable. If you dont like old buildings then this is not for you but that is what we loved. The location is one of a kind and i would stay here again in a heartbeat! Thank you for an amazing stay. We will be back!
We were lodged in the neighboring building, which is a decrepit house that has probably not been renovated since the 70s, with no sound isolation whatsoever.
We were initially lodged in the attic room (71), which is one of the most depressing rooms I have ever seen (tiny window, no air flow, broken bedside lamps, dirt and dust incrusted everywhere, broken toilet seat). I would consider it a crime to host someone in this room, let alone charge them 120 euros a night.
After some complaints, The personnel of the hotel was nice enough to move us to a better room, which still had a malfunctioning window and shutters.
Dinner and breakfast are included, but are of school cafeteria level, which is a pity when you consider the quality of local restaurants.
In short, unless the place is renovated extensively, I would avoid Al Sasso di Stria at all costs.
