We spoke to the owner who stated that the advert was not placed by him. It was the fault of hotels.com as he does not use them you get your info from a 3rd party All I know is that I am £30 out of pocket. The stay was good as I can not blame hotels.com for all the rain."

"We have stayed at Astor house before so we came back to the same apartment. They had upgraded the sofas to recliners which was a nice surprise. The apartment itself is easy to get to clean and Torquay town centre is a short walk away. It has a great view over the beach side of Torquay and the area is quiet. The place is clean and well maintained and the host kindly provided some biscuits and milk. I would highly recommend this place."

"The property was easily found by using a Sat Nav. The property inside and outside was very clean. There is a narrow gravel drive up to the property so Parking was in the village square which was a short walk around the outside of the pub, so not recommended for disabled as there is also steps up to the entrance door. The entrance was a wooden decking which had a range of colorful potted plants and well maintained. The owner was very helpful with directions and places to visit and eat...

"Very clean property ideally suited you can walk to Tescos you have a pub which is not noisy across the road and they do good food Beds were comfortable and you have a parking space at the rear . You 2 minutes from all trade pick ups toolstation,screw fix topps tiles . We used it as we had it for a month doing a 4 week job 15 minutes away . Heating was excellent wi fi excellent also . Most important Greggs and Starbucks next to each other 2 min drive"

The hotel is only about a year old so the building and all the fittings and furniture are in as-new condition. The staff were all cheerful and a delight to work with. The food was good both breakfast and the evening meals. The location right on the foreshore is attractive with lovely views of the sunrise but it is well away from the centre of Torquay. When I arrived Google maps had the location 300 metres too close to the main part of Torquay so you need to check this before setting a route.

Wonderful seafront view. Clean room and thankfully neighbours/floor quiet. Request for room service was a let down.Tired from a 25 hour flight, having a simple process for room service would have been welcomed. A deposit of £100 per night was required before ordering, that they hold. Any balance would be refunded. This can take days. The goodies provided in room was great! Would stay again, if room service was improved.
