We liked the apartment but would not stay here again because the communication is awful. This isn’t a host, but a company and that’s why it doesn’t work. The only way to contact the “host” is through the VRBO app and they will not reply to you sooner than 24 hours. The hot water went out the night we arrived (Saturday night). I sent messages the following morning and didn’t receive a response until Monday morning and no one came out to fix it until Monday evening. Our stay was short and we left Tuesday morning for Porto. So we were showering in cold water for 2 days. Even after it was fixed, the water was still lukewarm. I felt like I was in an apartment with a bad landlord. We were encouraged to reach out for anything which really doesn’t mean anything because they don’t want to be reached.
Location:
The location was great, right in the middle of downtown with convenient transit, shops, restaurants, etc.
Apartment:
It was a small apartment but cute with a nice view outside. We enjoyed sitting on balcony and drinking coffee. The cleanliness could be better. The apartment is very lived in. The stairs to access the apartment are really tough and we’re a trio of young women. It also wasn’t very hospitable - no extra toilet paper and obviously you can’t reach the “host” for more. They provide an espresso maker but didn’t refill the containers of coffee pods and sugar was ripped open and sitting in the container. I would not stay here again.
