If you look from your balcony (caution - 5th floor), you will see in front of you (=minutes away) , Left to right:
-Santa Justa Lift
-Iconic Lisbon Tram 25 (28 is 5 min walk away)
-Carmo monastery ruins museum
-Entrance to the parking under the Placa de Figueiro (good to unload/load, but very expensive to keep the car. Use de Graca parking -10/day)

-Market - lively in the evening.
-Rossio metro entrance (red square sign).
-Praça do Rossio just behind the dominant long building.

Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
We didn’t enjoy our stay at all ! There was no communication prior to arrival about it's location or entry codes etc to access the property. 8 flights of dirty stairwell to climb with no lift and no lights at night. Was very difficult to find and get in with no numbers on entry door. Filthy brown stained pillows !! They were replaced with new ones when i complained. No bed sheets provided. Electric entry door was difficult to operate and felt unsafe. Very old delapilated property, very cracked, needs a lot of maintenance and renovation.
Copy of email sent to host asking for cancel and refund: We couldn’t get in to the room at first and were successful only on the fourth attempt. When chatting with mgmt it was indicated that there was a trick to doing it by pulling the door prior to kitting the last button. This trick still only worked 1 in 4 times. It was frustrating to get in to the room each time.On top of that I communicated that the 2-towel policy is unreasonable for two adults staying 5 nights without a laundry unit on site. The charge for additional bath towels was 16 Euros???After this communication upon initial entry to the room, which was unlabeled from the hallway (we had to guess which room was ours) we continued to stay the first night. The room was not as advertised as there was water damage and peeling paint on the ceiling. There was a water damaged wood sink station in the bathroom with mold growling behind the sink.Beyond the false images and expectations of cleanliness we were treated to a cold shower even after waiting 40 minutes between showers. The water was warm for maybe 2 minutes before it turned cold again. The water from the cold shower gathered on the floor (which we’ve come to expect from a European bathroom) but since there was a gap between the raised bathroom floor and the kitchen floor the water started leaking into the kitchen.finally we found that some of the nails in the wood floor in the kitchen had popped up and I caught a sock on it. Could have been an injury.
