  • I took this in March in Sintra, Portugal! It's at the fairy tale castle Pena Palace :). This is one of the lovely close-up views. It's is a Romanticist castle that stands on the top of a hill in the Sintra Mountains. And undoubtedly one of the most iconic places in Portugal. And a dream come true to visit it! It is a national monument and constitutes one of the major expressions of 19th-century Romanticism in the world. The palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal. It is also used for state occasions by the President of the Portuguese Republic and other government officials. Thanks to Wikipedia for help ;).

2 nights Great peaceful location

Spent 2 nights in Sintra just to see the palace and other sights nearby. Location was great and quiet for myself, wife and 2 daughters. Super unique place and would highly recommend. Close to great restaurants too!

Stylish and spacious

Loved Bloom Cottage, stylish and very spacious with a very well equipped kitchen and comfortable sitting room with view over plunge pool and rocks rising up into surrounding woodland. Peaceful location but hilly! Note it’s not a walk but a steep hike to Pena Palace, allow an additional 20 minutes from the entrance of the Palace if pre booked a timed ticket. Well worth the effort and downhill home!

Perfect spot

Situated in Sintra, walking distances to fantastic and quaint restaurants, small bakeries and shops. This vrbo was perfect for our needs during our week stay. Did not get to enjoy the small pool, as it was in the mid 50's. One must be able to have strength in mobility throughout this house and Sintra. Close to everything but away from crowds. The locals were beyond friendly and most gracious with so many tourists upon this town. Overall, we would come back and stay in a heartbeat. Give it a go!
