The best area to stay in Linera is generally the hillside area overlooking the coast, particularly around the main piazza and the residential streets leading off it.

This elevated part of Linera offers a tranquil setting with lovely views of the Ionian Sea and Mount Etna. It's a primarily residential area, featuring a mix of traditional Sicilian villas and some modern properties. The main piazza, though small, serves as a central point, often hosting local events.

Couples looking for a peaceful escape will find this area particularly appealing. The quiet streets and scenic outlooks provide a romantic backdrop for a relaxed holiday. You're also well-placed for scenic drives to nearby coastal towns or up towards Mount Etna.

For those prioritising convenience and local amenities, staying closer to the few local shops and eateries near the main road (Via Roma) might be a better fit.

The best time to visit Linera, Sicily, is during the shoulder seasons of May, June, September, and early October.

These months offer pleasant weather, ideal for exploring the region's historical sites and enjoying the coast without the intense heat and larger crowds of mid-summer. You'll find temperatures are comfortably warm, superb for leisurely strolls through local towns or relaxing by the sea.

Couples looking for a romantic getaway will appreciate the quieter atmosphere during these times. You can enjoy al fresco dining in the evenings or explore Mount Etna's foothills without the summer rush, making for a more intimate experience.

Families travelling with children will also find these periods more comfortable.
