House was well equipped, check in was a breeze. Only real issue was some of th communication with the owner both prior to arriveal and after arriving. We had some quetions about things in the house we needed and never got answers. Overall nice stay. Nice house
5 siblings gathered to celebrate sisters 80th birthday. The house was clean and provided all the amenities needed for a pleasant stay. The host was easy to contact and responded promptly to our messages through the VRBO app. If you are in need of a place that has that country feel at a reasonable price you should definitely consider this one.
the property was clean and kept, well landscaped and everything we needed. price was fair. we truly enjoyed the property and how close we were to the job and lincolnton. hoping the property owner the best and future tennants enjoy as much as we did.
thank you.
House was basically as pictured & great location to downtown & those we were visiting. Would have appreciated if they didn’t come to cut the grass at 8am when checkout was at 10am, so I could have slept a bit longer; but overall, we had a nice stay!
We enjoyed our stay! Loved the outdoor fire pit and the openness of the living room and kitchen. The King Size Mattress and a huge dip in the middle and would recommend replacing it.
House was comfortable enough and appreciated the adequate supply of necessities provided. Kids enjoyed the firepit and chasing fireflys in the back yard in the evenings. Close to main road but otherwise, quiet and peaceful surroundings. Minor negatives were one of the king beds sagged and was difficult for 2 to sleep in. Luckily, I brought a inflatable mattress. Other was the grass in the front needed cutting as it was difficult for the young kids to navigate. I'd stay here again should we need a place in the area again.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in
Disliked: Communication
The house looks very much as pictured. Asthetically pleasing to the eye from a distance. Up close we found writing on the walls, excessive scuffs, second hand furniture, dryer that took 2x runs to dry, broken dishwasher and busted bed in the master bedroom. We had problems with the thermostat being set on a program and it was 68 degrees. We like it 70-71. We could not override the program so the temp stayed cool. Some of the rooms were cooler than others. There was a space heater and plenty of blankets. We tried to contact the host the night we checked in at 930pm on Thanksgiving. I wasn’t expecting a response that day. We stayed Thursday-Sunday. On Saturday morning we still had not heard back. I messaged to ask where a hair dryer was because I could not find one. He responded 3 hours later and said he’d check with his team to see if it would be in another space outside of the bathroom. I never heard back. The pro’s of the property were: cleanliness, asthetically appealing, plenty of hand soap, laundry detergent, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, well equipped kitchen with a toaster and easy access to highway and restaurants. The worst thing about the stay was the cool temp we couldn’t seem to adjust and the bed was broken in the master bedroom, sagging horribly in the middle. The host wasn’t very responsive. All in all it could always be worse, but it could have been more comfortable too.
The property condition was unacceptable and we vacated immediately. The location was precarious and we felt unsafe - a noisy highway at an intersection and the house was very close to the road! The listing did not match what we found upon arrival. There were cigarette butts outside and broken glass with a trashcan, overflowing in trash. The inside was dirty. The couch was wet and stained, and it smelled like dirty dog inside. The listing advertises three bedrooms, but is technically only two bedrooms because they are not private areas. You have to walk through one bedroom to get to the other. We immediately expressed our concerns with the host and have been completely ignored. No communication at all!!! I have never had an experience like this before and have rented many vacation homes. So surprised and disappointed. I wanted potential renters to be aware of these issues prior to arrival. We had a 7 hour drive, landed somewhere unacceptable, and had to find a new place.

The house looks nice in the pics, but it has a very odd layout inside. You walk through the bunk bed room to get to the master bedroom, which made things difficult when it was time for people to get dressed. There was a large step up to get to the front door, and the stepping stone on top at the edge was loose and didn't feel secure. The flooring in the house is new, but the subfloor needs work. It is very wavy and uneven and can even cause you problems when you walk across the room. The king bed was visibly sagging in the middle, like maybe the bed's middle support was broken, so when you laid down you just rolled to the middle. It was very uncomfortable. A couple door knobs were loose. When we stripped the master bed before leaving, we saw that the mattress cover was stained. No check out instructions were left, so I wasn't sure what exactly to do (did the standard stripping of beds and gather towels and taking out trash). We were only here 2 nights while visiting friends in the area. We didn't sleep well bc of the bed, and we would not stay here again. The house is listed for sale, and it looks like they did part of a lipstick on the pig renovation, but didn't address some issues that needed repairs.
