Cracking stay
A totally relaxing experience from arrival to departure. We stayed for 2 nights in November and enjoyed every moment. The food and service was fantastic. John and his staff made us feel like locals with terrific banter. He even let me win at darts (lol). I will definitely stay there again whenever I am in the Lincoln area.

Excellent all round. John and Sam were welcoming, friendly, as were the locals. The room was immaculate and had everything we needed and the breakfast was lovely. Would definitely stay again!!

Excellent stay at the Red Lion. John, the landlord, is a lovely bloke and nothing was too much trouble for him. Breakfast was freshly cooked and lovely. The room was airy, bright and warm. Very comfortable. Lovely big shower room with fluffy towels and nice toiletries. Had a couple of pints in the pub on the evenings-definitely a pub you’d want as your local. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Stayed one night at this. Very attractive rural hotel in Lincolnshire. The rooms were located in the grounds of the pub. Across a parking area from you the pub terrace. Our room was spacious and well equipped with a walk in wet room designed to accommodate disabled visitors. The pub was atypical of a rural pub with reasonably priced drinks. The restaurant was not open owing to staff illness albeit we were given choices of pubs restaurants nearby for evening meals. The licence was very pleasant and clearly made every effort to provide a high level of customer service. Overall a very pleasant experience

Had a lovely 2 days for the Christmas market. Everyone was very welcoming and the room was great. Very spacious and clean. We had a lovely breakfast to start our days so would recommend the Red Lion to anyone wanting to visit Lincoln 😊👍

Would highly recommend this pub. Chalets were at the back and separate. Extremely clean and comfortable, heating was on so made it feel extra fantastic. We stayed to go to Lincoln market, which showed 7 miles away. No buses and 35 mins walk to train station so got a taxi number from pub. Amazing taxi company that only charged £14. This was an amazing price to say how far away we was and they picked us up too. Didn’t have breakfast as they were having an inspection so carnt comment on food. Pub is in a very quiet area and I would defo come again, just be aware how far Lincoln is away. Would I recommend, I surely would x

Haven’t stayed here since circa. 2019 when ‘the old John’ ran the show. Now with the ‘New John’ we have another keen & professional host striving for perfection, The specials board & menu are packed with exciting food suggestions at very reasonable prices..... Sadly, none of these could be sampled as the Pub & Restaurant are closed on a Monday night which is the night we stayed ! I’m fairly sure this fact didn’t feature on the Booking Website? As this is a rural location there is no immediate alternative🙄

Cosy Country Inn
Just a few miles from the historic city of Lincoln, this inn provides a relaxing and comfortable refuge after tackling the city's Steep Hill; never was a street so aptly named. Accommodation is within a separate stone built block. We ate out, but understood from other guests that the bar meals were tasty and filling; breakfast was excellent and the hosts, most welcoming.

Pub with character and excellent food
We stayed for 2 nights in accommodation opposite the pub. Large comfortable rooms. Breakfast served in the pub. Great atmosphere in the pub with good draught beer. Really tasty food with generous portions. Beware old reviews and photos. Major upgrades are being made by new owners. Highly recommend. Easy run into Lincoln for sightseeing.

Advised the owners only acquired the B&B 3 weeks prior to my stay was evident. No menu for the evening meal, choice from a blackboard with limited basic meals. Placement settings for dining was basic, no condiments, cutlery just thrown on the table. Breakfast order was taken the night before, breakfast options were not provided just full English. Again place settings were basic, again no condiments. No cereal options provided only full english.

Set in a lovely village approx 20 mins from Lincoln, food is excellent, especially the English breakfast and the staff were friendly. The lodges are separate from the public house and look very smart however some work looks set to start and outside our lodge there was no kerb appeal. The lodge was roomy with a spacious bathroom and some work was needed (broken glass in window), unfortunately we did have a very worn out towel but did request a new one and was changed, disappointedly the daily room service didn't happen but otherwise happy with the accommodation. Wifi is hit and miss. Would stay again if in area.

I had booked to stay at the red lion for two nights with my family to see friends who live in the area. I was called at around 2pm by a member of staff at the red lion to be told my room had been double booked, being the day of check in this caused quite some panic and stress for me and my family. I booked another room luckily at a travel lodge just outside of town. I called the red lion to discuss the options and find out why this had happened, spoke to a member of staff who was very rude. He said that there was no trace of my booking and that the hotel does not use hotels.com, despite me being phoned by another member of staff. He then said he would return my call. Once phoning back he said there had a been a mistake and that in fact they can now offer me a room. Safe to say I didnt take up this offer. I cannot speak for the facilities of the red lion but their services are below expectations and the staff appear incompetent I wont be booking to stay here again and would advise you to book with caution.
