"Overall, we thought the cottage was good, the lake was amazing, and we really enjoyed our trip.The cottage was comfortable but could use some TLC, as a few deck boards and sections of exterior trim are beginning to rot. One bedroom, which contains the electrical panel, also had a noticeable odour. The main living areas were clean, although the fans had quite a bit of dust built up on them. The cottage can get warm on hot days because the main lake-facing windows do not open, but several fans were provided and worked well with the cool evening air. All appliances worked well, and plenty of drinking water was supplied.Mike was easy to communicate with and responded quickly when we had a minor septic issue, having it addressed within a couple of hours.The dock and lake were the highlights of our stay. The slope to the water is fairly steep, and the sandy/rocky entry becomes deep quickly (17 feet at the end of the dock), so families with young children should use extra caution. The lake was great for swimming and paddleboarding, with a small island nearby, a free boat launch close by, beautiful west-facing sunsets, and a large firepit with plenty of wood.Bell reception was limited, while Rogers had full 5G. The internet worked very well, and the TVs were appreciated on a rainy evening.Overall, we would recommend this cottage for a relaxing waterfront getaway."

"Karen was a wonderful host! Even though I only stayed for one night, I found the property to be beautiful, spotless, and fully equipped with everything I needed. The entire experience was comfortable and enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again and look forward to coming back!"

"The property in Bancroft was even better than the photos and exceeded our expectations. It was clean, spacious and had everything we needed to feel at home such as towels, pots, pans, a kettle, cutlery..... I was there with my 3 year old son and was so pleased to find out that there was a beautiful playground right across the street and within a close walk we attended a community concert that is held each Wednesday night. Its a small quite town but perfect for hiking or fishing. We hope to return again in the future. Thanks to the hosts for sharing your home."
Family Friendly Beautiful Lake Front Cottage

"Our trip was fabulous. I always love a cottage where we are free to bring out furry friend with us. We brought our own paddle boards (the property provided a paddle board and 2 kayaks) and loved being out on the lake. It was nice and calm. A little boat traffic but nothing heavy. It is a bit of a trek into town so if you want a home base for exploring it may not be ideal for you but it was perfect for what we wanted. (It was about 30-45 mins in to the closet town) Time on the water, a campfire and family time, lots of board games.The property was clean, well stocked and everything was easy to find/ access. I loved having the BBQ. I don't think we turned the oven on at all. Perfect family vacation."
