Very centrally located and convenient for many restaurants, bars and the subway. 15 min walk from the Eurostar terminus or could get a tram.The hotel is still being renovated which affects our scoring slightly and outlook from our room not great. However all staff were friendly and helpful and we would return again.

Not Bellevue - Novue and no bar
I chose this hotel for a special visit with family and choice was based on the review in hotels.com, the proximity to the centre and the nice bar where we could relax at the end of the day before going out to dinner. It’s cold in Jan and this is a necessary luxury. I was very surprised to be told that they did not have a bar due to refurbishment. This is not advertised on hotels.com and not on their website. We therefore had nowhere to relax and enjoy a supposedly Superb hotel. We were told that we could sit in our rooms and relax and use the water filter machine outside in the corridor. This is NOT what I signed up for. We would have been better to stay in a central hostel or cheaper hotel and use local bars. Moreover, the hotel does not have a parking so you use the recommended parking choices from the hotel. They said that they were all the same price so park at the nearest one, round the corner. In fact, this was twice the price of the alternatives 3 extra minutes walk away. They should know this at the very least. Breakfast was OK, but strange to sit in a room without a window. In fact, the hotel is called Bellevue, but I did not find any window to the outside other than to a central roof and fire escape. Very convenient in location, but not Bellevue and not Wonderful

Hotel was lovely on the face of it. Very welcoming staff at check in. Beautifully clean. Bit of building work going on but the room was very cold and the thermostat did not work Also the bed was not completely clean. There was a smell of perfume ( not mine ) once you were under the duvet but I ignored and thought it was my imagination BUT on waking this morning there was lipstick on the underside of the du et cover that was agin not mine. Don’t believe the bed had been slept in but maybe someone had taken a rest in it Reported on check out and apart from a cursory apology , employee did not seem overly concerned

Great location
Hotel was fine, not great but nothing wrong with it. Our room was a little small but the central location of the hotel was excellent . Walking distance from the railway station, close to the main squares and the old town. Not noisy though.

We had a wonderful two-night stay in a very luxurious family room in this hotel. We came by Eurostar to see a friend perform at the Theatre Sebastopol and the hotel was walking distance to both the venue and the Eurostar station. The hotel itself was perfect for our needs - comfortable and welcoming with a lovely buffet breakfast. The surrounding area was excellent for shopping and eating and we had the added benefit of the Christmas market on our doorstep.

Lille for the Christmas Market 28/30 November
very enjoyable couple of nights spent there. Market is not huge, about 90 stalls, but separately there is a big wheel and a merry go round. lots of individual shops selling tasty cakes and tempting chocolates. Easy to find somewhere reasonable to eat with good and friendly service. Similar experience in the hotel with a decent selection of hot and cold food options at breakfast.

This is a good choice of hotel as central and also easily accessible from the rail stations on foot. The breakfast area was a bit limited and food options were not always replenished unless requested. Room was comfortable and quiet but decoration is slightly quirky.

Great location, poorly designed room
The room was poorly thought out. There was nowhere to put anything - no shelves had the only bedside cabinet had the safe in it. The wardrobe was a box that he been placed on the wall making it difficult to enter the bathroom. It was almost impossible to hang anything in it and only fit our 2 dots. To access the safe you needed to lay on the floor. Despite all that…the location is excellent as it is the only hotel right in the square and the staff were very helpful and friendly. It seemed a popular hotel but the room we had was more for 1-2 nights than a longer stay.

Enjoyable stay
Excellent location. The hotel is well appointed and no issues with cleanliness. Lovely toiletries in the bathroom. We did not have breakfast so cannot comment about this. We would have preferred actual cups in the room for the tea/coffee rather than paper cups but this is a minor point. Overall an enjoyable stay.

This is a very comfortable hotel in a great location. Many sights and restaurants are in easy walking distance but, if they aren't, the Metro is only a couple of minutes walk away. Our room was at the back facing the main square. So we had a lovely view and it was not noisy. My only complaint is that although there was soya milk for breakfast, there was no non dairy spread.

Well located, friendly staff, clean - recently refurbished (down to USB sockets in the room) - designed with the guest in mind. Large comfortable beds, well decorated rooms, large spacious bathroom with good products.

Overrated and very poor
First time I’ve ever been compelled to write a review about a stay…and not for positive reasons. Upon arrival I was expecting a free bottle of wine as promised on my booking type, but this was not forthcoming. Went to the room and it was very warm and the air conditioning did not work so we had to open a window. This resulted in both of us getting bitten all night by mosquitoes coming in and the room being unbearably warm. The bathroom is tiny and it was not comfortable at all to use the toilet. The only positive was the shower and the cleanliness but that does not make up for an awful stay. How this hotel has 4 stars is ridiculous

Everything was good except that we were supposed to get a bottle of wine with our stay. We had to ask 3 times for it and then basically had to demand it at check out. Otherwise a very nice hotel
