The best area to stay in Lihukeng is within the Lihukeng Ancient Village itself, as this is where the main attractions and authentic experiences are found.

The village is compact and easily explored on foot, with narrow cobblestone paths winding between traditional Hui-style houses. Many of these historic buildings have been converted into guesthouses, small shops selling local crafts, and eateries. The central area around the Lihukeng Creek is particularly picturesque, offering views of ancient bridges and waterwheels.

Couples looking for a romantic escape will find the village ideal. The tranquil setting, historic architecture, and opportunities for quiet strolls along the creek make it a great backdrop for a memorable trip. Many guesthouses offer rooms with traditional decor and peaceful courtyards.

For travellers seeking a cultural experience, staying within the ancient village provides direct access to local life and traditions.

The best time to go to Lihukeng is typically during spring (April to June) and autumn (September to November).

During these months, the weather is pleasantly mild, with comfortable temperatures that are ideal for exploring the village and surrounding tea plantations. You'll find the natural scenery at its most picturesque, with lush greenery in spring and vibrant colours in autumn. This period avoids the hotter, more humid summer months and the colder winter, making for a more enjoyable and convenient trip.

Couples looking for a peaceful escape will particularly appreciate these seasons. The gentle weather allows for leisurely strolls through the tea fields and along the ancient pathways without the discomfort of extreme temperatures.
