"A lovely rural hotel in the parish of St. Martin, about 10 minutes drive from the airport and 15-20 minutes from St. Peter Port. Located on narrow, winding roads, the hotel provides an excellent base for exploring the island. Reception is friendly, efficient and knowledgeable, rooms are nicely decorated, beds are comfortable, and bathrooms with walk-in shower are spotless. Efficient and capable staff freshen up the room each day. There is a pool and a large sitting area outside (but not in use due to inclement weather during our stay). As for clientele, La Barbarie appears to have a loyal following of older seniors who return annually. The hotel has ample parking and is serviced by a local bus that runs past the property. "

"A super stunning Hotel with a picturesque location. A beautiful retreat near to the town of St Peter port a shuttle service is available, Stunning views and good access to walking trails. Hotel is elegant without feeling stuffy, warm without being oppressive, welcoming without being kitschy, I felt that all the visitor touch points they got absolutely right. Room is very comfortable and well - appointed and the staff make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive, Especially the level of service, the restaurant staff and reception team provided excellent service. The food is fantastic 5 stars, presentation and choice, breakfast is outstanding. The room was immaculately clean and had everything needed provided with plenty of amenities like still water with tea and coffee facilities, dressing gowns and toiletry’s had a very comfortable stay. Some of the highlights an indoor pool and a tree top spa, restaurants and the gardens are beautiful. Most definitely would highly recommend and would stay again. "

"This was a little gem of calmness.excellent location and well placed for the beach and our walks around the island .great room with plenty of storage ,really comfortable bed .would recommend this to anyone looking to stay on the island.amazing bus service on the island ,great views and obviously the history and museums from the occupation. "Every member of staff here has been incredibly helpful. The food in the Copenhagen Bar and Grill was exceptional. The room was warm and beds comfortable and we slept so well. We have loved everything and will most definitely be back. Thank you x"
