Lovely hotel
Lovely over night stay in Leysin! Snow less than seasonal however hotel made up for. Service by Naomi on reception was above and beyond required. Would definitely stay again.

Amazing Stay - Must visit
It was amazing stay with my family, everyone in my family loved it. Staff of Le Grand Leysin is super best from Reception to Bar to Restaurant, everyone was super amazing and very very helpfull for each and everything. About property, had a wonderful time in jacuzzi with the spectacular view. Superb time I have spent.

Beds are comfortable and the view is gorgeous. Entrenched in a quiet area in the mountain and surrounded by trees and the valley.

I can't fault this place. I stayed in a corner room with a balcony looking out across the Alps and down to Leysin village. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. I ordered a bottle of wine to have on the balcony in my room and was loaned a power adapter from the front desk when I realised that my EU converter wouldn't work in Switzerland. I had dinner in the separate restaurant downstairs (the local trout main was lovely) and then retired back upstairs to take in more of the view. As other reviews have stated, this is not a posh hotel. Some of the furnishings show some wear but the staff, very comfortable bed and linens, and incredible location more than make up for a few scratches on the wardrobes. I highly recommend and plan to return for a longer stay next summer.

We have stayed in this hotel many times before and it’s ideal for a few days skiing. Restaurant seemed a little bit in disarray but I suppose Covid is making things difficult

The room was clean and quiet, the room we booked is good enough to sleep for 6 people (6 single bed), around the hotel have a lot of activities, like hiking, rock climbing, about 5 mins drive and we found one delicious Chinese hotpot Chinese with very reasonable price, everything is wonderful, we will go back to this hotel next time when our friends and family visit us.

My 3 year old and I both loved our stay! That staff was delightful, and always made my son smile and laugh. We especially loved the breathtaking views, and enjoyed the “family room” with bunk beds.

Really nice traditional Swiss chalet. Cozy atmosphere. We enjoyed the cheese fondue for dinner and a wonderful breakfast with an amazing assortment of items. Would definitely stay again if I am in the area!

top of the mountain. hard to get to if coming on the train, and best if you get off at stop just before Hotel and then rent a cab to the hotel le Grand

I want to start off by saying this is a beautiful place. Now I do want to share that it is at the top of the Alps/mountain and off the beaten trail. So unless you have a couple of days to really enjoy this place you might want to choose another place. We made the mistake of booking only one night and then arriving late. We wish we would have know just how amazing this place was. If we had, we would of booked two or more days here. Everything is perfect about this place. You will love it

Probably the best place that I’m been in my entire life!! I had the opportunity to travel to many different countries and visit many different places in the world. This hotel is probably one of the best that every been. The location and the views are paradisiac, the facility is a very cozy, cabin style place and it is located quite high on that side of the mountain what gives an amazing view of the whole area. All personnel in the hotel and in the restaurant is super friendly and helpful. Overall: it is being an excellent experience. I highly recommend this place.

Good location and food
Quiet location outside Leysin up the hill. Good walks from the door. Excellent dinner and wine choice though the veggie burger was a bit mushy. Breakfast on the terrace with stunning views. Very good choice and quality. Room was nice but next to the kitchen extractor outlet so a lot of food smells if window is opened. Overall good for the price.

The decor in this hotel is lovely and feels like a cozy mountain cabin. The room and the common areas were comfortable and all of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. You can buy your lift tickets at reception and then walk about a block to the slopes. Breakfast was a buffet with high quality ingredients and some we don't usually see, like salmon and chicken breast. Dinner was delicious. Overall this was a charming little hotel and we're already planning to come back.

Beautiful views we upgraded from a corner room which had a side terrace and a fire escape outside to a front facing room with a balcony and flowers . The room was what you imagine a Swiss chalet to be wood and traditional carving. The breakfast was very nice we sat outside on the terrace over looking the valley . You could hear the cowbells from the neighbouring field really lovely spot

The only bad thing was that they charge an extra person for 3 nights when she was only for a night. Their answer was that I request an extra person for 3 nights so that I have to pay even if was only for one night. The room wasn’t big enough for an extra person

A very stupid client, who doesn't care about other guest. We give him a late check out at 12h (normaly 11h for a next check in at 14h for the other guest) he came at 13h like if it was normal. So when we ask him Chf. 40.-- for a late check out he didn't won to pay, so we just ask the client to leave fast our hotel with out paying the Chf. 40.--.

What a view!!
Everything I hoped for, albeit the room was a bit small for 3 adults...all with luggage. Beautiful view, friendly and helpful staff that made us feel genuinely welcome. Delicious raclette dinner and wonderful varied Swiss breakfast. When we arrived it was chilly...the fireplace was lit and it was so cozy in the lobby. The next day we enjoyed the deck in the late afternoon after a busy day in Montreux and Lake Geneva...enjoying the bar and unbelievable mountain scenery.The staff even brought out blankets for us to stay warm. One of the most comfortable and beautiful places I've ever stayed at. Leysin and The Hotel le Grand Chalet will be forever in my wonderful memories. I would definitely recommend!
