Do not go to Red Roof Inn Winchester ky

Upon arrival I had noticed the outside awning was falling down thought it was from the storms we have had. Check in was easy but was told there was 100 dollar fee added that I didn’t know about. Go into the room it had a smell of mold and mildew bad. We had headaches and allergies started acting up. Walked into the bathroom and the walls were covered in mold and mildew. I do have pictures to prove this. I will never stay there again. I can’t show allergies and coughing in pictures but we stayed away as long as we could and slept there. Checking out early.

Exterior of motel looked a bit desolate despite someone with a green thumb trying to perk things up. But the rooms were exceptionally clean and had been modernized. Staff was very friendly. Great value.

Transparency questioned- otherwise Great!

Business trip. Overall good experience. Only hiccup would be that at check in a $100 cash deposit was required. They did not accept CC, cash only. This was not on their information page on hotels.com. I had to go into town and incur ATM fees as I do not carry cash on my persons.

The room was dirty at check in and the bathroom sink leaked all over the floor. I had to pay a 100.00 room deposit and when I checked out the attendant said there was dried dog pee on the floor and signs of poop, but it was like that when I checked in so he pocketed my 100.00 deposit. my dog never got out of its crate so I know the dried pee wasnt hers.

Room had a chair that's arms were solid grease & worn away. Bathroom door had been kicked in at bottom & the AC/heating unit extension cord was foamed into the wall. The external outside door had been broken into previously. Stray cat roaming around outside!

There were ants in the bathroom and they were eating dead flies or termites. Had to ask almost every day for more than 2 towels for 2 adults. Furniture looks likes it’s 100 years old! We stayed the whole 5 days only because we wouldn’t have gotten a refund! Will never stay there again. I’d rather drive the 30 mins from Lexington!! The outside door we had to use is dangerous it slams against you! Only good thing was most the staff was nice!

Very clean. Traveled with 2 small dogs, so no carpeting in our room was perfect. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The young lady at the desk found a hair dryer for me. I will definitely be staying each time I visit.
