Gite du Meunier

Located 4km from the beaches of Barneville-Carteret and 30 minutes from Cherbourg, ideal for exploring the Cotentin area.

Situated at the edge of a mill stream, our gîte (21 sq m) is composed of

A living area with
-kitchenette
-a table and chairs
-a double bed (140* 190 cm)
-a single bed (90*190 cm) on the mezzanine, accessible by a vertical ladder

A shower room and toilet

A terrace and garden area

This independent house is near the owners' home

An electricity package of 8 kWh and 1/4 m3 of water is included/day (for stays of less than 7 days).
Beyond that, billing based on meter reading (electricity: 1 kwh = €0.30, water: 1 m3 = €5).
For weekly stays, a meter reading will be taken at the start and end of the stay and then re-invoiced to the tenant. This is to protect our beautiful planet.

Bed ready made for your arrival and towels : 20 euros per bed
Breakfast :10 euros per person

During your stay you will find many things to visit and discover: the Carteret lighthouse, the garden of the host of the television gardening programme “Silence çapousse” (Stéphane Marie, the coastal footpaths,(GR34), historically used by Customs Officers, the Vauville pond, the City of the Sea, the World War II D-Day landing beaches,Saint Vaast la Hougue…and of course our beautiful sandy or pebble beaches

The gîte is located near a mill stream,with open access.

Vacances entre terre et mer

Nous avons passé une semaine magnifique dans un petit coin niché dans la nature, à qq kilomètres de la mer. Le gîte, fonctionnel et décoré avec goût, inspire le repos, la détente et la connexion avec la nature.. Un grand merci à Hélène (et sa famille) pour sa disponibilité, ses conseils et son sens de l'accueil et du partage

Superbe Séjour

Le gîte du Ruisseau est idéal pour deux personnes : calme, charmant, au cœur d’un magnifique jardin que l’hôtesse entretient avec du goût et de l’énergie. A proximité du sentier du littoral de Carteret, des jardins et des immenses plages bordées de dunes. A deux pas de restaurants sympas. On recommande le Berlingot à Sortosville ! Accueil et cuisine au top. Tout pour se ressourcer et partager !

très agréable gîte, on s'y sent bien, très bien aménagé, des matériaux naturels, le respect de l'environnement, une belle nature dans un petit hameau charmant. Hélène accueille avec beaucoup de chaleur et de gentillesse, c'est un vrai plaisir. Super dynamique et super jardinière. Son compagnon est aussi très sympa. Les œufs des poules, tout frais, sont délicieux. Les herbes du jardin pour parfumer la cuisine... top ! Merci
