"I’d give this place 2 stars. It’s barely a step above ghetto and feels like an overpriced motel dropped into a middle‑class neighborhood. I had to switch rooms three times: the first had a “hot” shower that was basically heated pool water, the second had water running nonstop and wouldn’t shut off, and the third had a dead phone. The hallways constantly smelled like marijuana, and the smoke drifting in gave me a contact high more than once. The rooms were minimally cleaned, the lighting was dingy, and the door felt as thin as paper. You can literally see the grime embedded in the hallway carpet. Don’t let the lobby fool you. The coffee tastes like dirt water, and the breakfast is extremely basic—cereal, a waffle maker, muffins, breakfast sandwiches, and a few random items. Staff presence was minimal, and I didn’t see any security or cameras anywhere inside or outside, which didn’t feel great. I will say it was quiet, but that’s about the only positive. This place desperately needs an update. Definitely not what I expected for Troy."

"Property needs to update carpets and hot tubs. The building could use a good power washing especially on the balcony areas going around the property. But overall still a good place to stay. I just like that they have hot tubs suites mainly. "

"The room was not the cleanest.. found long hairs in the bath room and the sheets on the bed was dirty. The swimming pool was dirty as well "

"The staff was extremely friendly and check-in went smooth. I loved that they have complimentary Starbucks coffee in the lobby. Our room was very nice and we enjoyed the continental breakfast in the morning. "

"There was no hottub as it listed, no breakfast or free light dinner either. Food had to either be ordered via the hotel or door dash. The kids were kicked out of the pool early for "adult only swim". There is no microwave on site. My family has been coming to this hotel for years due to the family environment and above amenities and feel very decieved. I would not recommend if this is for a family stay."

"There was a hockey team, cheer or gymnastics team. Kids ran up and down until 1am. The pool was closed Saturday for some chemical filtering. I wanted high floor but was on 6th floor. I was on the side of a highway in which I could hear the cars. Underneath pullout couch was a sick, a cookie and other crumbs. The heating system made noise all night until I got up and turned off and then we were cold. The bartender did not know how to make a good Long Island. I had to pay $30 for 2 nights for parking. The only thing that was good was the breakfast. This was the most horrible experience I ever experienced at a Embassy hotel or any hotel. Staff should hold the customers accountable for their kids. Never again will I go to this hotel again. "
