" I booked a room in A.A. Lodge Amboseli Amboseli, Kajiado County, Kenya, through the online hotel.com service on February 23 and paid $ 177 for 1 day through a visa card. When I arrived in A.A. Lodge Amboseli, the hotel administrator did not meet me warmly, suspecting that I really paid for the stay? How will I prove it? When I showed the confirmation from hotels.com from my email, he stated that hotels.com had not yet transferred the money to their account, so I have to pay in cash now ......

We did not want food during our stay and brought are own however the staff made food anyway and guilt tripped us into eating it. We then asked for costs or prices and were told the food was free and inclusive to our stay. Sadly this was a complete a lie and at checkout they tried to charge us 25 pounds a person for each meal. "Let me start by saying the staff and service was excellent. You could not fault them for trying to please and ensuring that they made you as welcome and comfortable as possible. But the camp itself was very run down and showers and general facilities disappointing. The blame for this has to be with the owners of the camp who have failed to spend money on decent facilities. The money we paid was not a mean amount and I am sure others paid more but really the owners need to reconsider whether or...

"I loved my 1 night stay at the Amboseli Sopa Lodge, and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Amboseli National Park. The lodge itself is located just outside of the NP, but they conveniently have a buffet-style restaurant inside the park. We were pleasantly surprised that all of meals, including our lunch in the restaurant inside the park, were included in our nightly fee. The facilities are fabulous, the food is excellent, and the staff is wonderful. "
