Cheap but not cheerful
cheap and not so cheerful. In desperate need of a tidy up - room was cold as the radiator in the bedroom didn't work - had to leave the bathroom door open to get some heat from that one. Chef was too busy and declared the kitchen closed on my arrival - earlier than advertised. I did feel a bit sorry for him as he was the only senior person working and seemed to be doing most of the work himself.

The staff in the bar and the condition of the bar are outstanding compared to the grotty and awful conditions of the so called hotel. Never would consider or recommend this outdated mess

Relaxing overnight stay
We stayed overnight, whilst there we had a meal which was absolutely great, staff were very kind and helpful, all the best to Joe and the team 🤗

Great pub, great looking (and smelling) food. (Ate elsewhere with clients) Basic room with a great hairdryer, great value for money. Excellent location for Liecester/M1/M69 and West Midlands

Nice place
Nice room,although some loose fittings on toilet,but overall nice and clean. Pub is nice and friendly and food is very good. I'd recommend and would go back.

Room was perfectly clean and tidy but don’t expect to sleep. The room is immediately above the bar and you are part of the conversations, singing and football on telly. Leicester v Norwich a classic game!

This property is in need of refurbishment, the bedding was pristine by the decor is in need of attention. Check took about 25 minutes as they were trying to serve customers at the bar at the same time. I’m sure with a bit of paint it would be a better place.

Comfortable, clean and affordable
Nice room,comfortable and clean, bit noisy coming from the bar below, But this didn’t bother me too much, but would other less tolerant guests. But a really good price.

Friday night stay
Nice stay in this 17th century pub. Check-in went well staff friendly bedroom was big bed comfy and bathroom adequate. The bar was busy with locals and serves a good selection of drinks. I would stay again at this property.

The staff were a real problem passing me from one to another. They promised me a receipt, it never transpired. The property was dirty it wasn’t tired it was worn out. The carpets were dirty and the bathroom was disgusting. The towels were damp and no soon had I arrived the fire alarm went off. Was a fault. Went down for breakfast was told they didn’t do breakfast on a Sunday. Nice. Well done Expedia drop this place.

Clean but update needed
The room was dated and worn out, holes in carpet and broken window! The outlook was a flat roof covered in empty beer bottles! Above a pub is always going to be loud, but I slept well, bed was clean and comfortable. Though the cleaners didn’t come in each day and didn’t replenish tea/coffee sachets! Staff were very helpful when approached!
