Fell well below any acceptable standard of cleanliness. Dirty bathroom. Needed to wash the mug before using. Hard board in the floor and holes in the walls.
The sheets were clean.

last chance saloon
it was not good, the first room I had wouldn't open, so was given another. shower as cold, very noisy on the road, nowhere to get breakfast. other members of the cohort left before staying as felt unsafe. more of a hostel than a hotel. matress like sleeping on coils.
This place has the bare faced cheek to call it's self "comfort hotel".
On arrival I had to park in the only remaining space in the car park which also had the balustrade from the balcony above which had fallen down.
I was given a room that was so shockingly bad I refused to stay in it, the bed's springs where literally sticking through, the toilet was broken & filthy, the shower was hanging down, there were panels missing from the unit behind the toilet,
The floor was so worn & damp it was a very high risk health hazard.
Then I was given another room that I could not even get in because the lock was broken.
Then I was given a third room that was marginally better, the curtains could not close because there was about four hooks the each & the rain was a mess, the only plug socket only had half the front to it it was so badly smashed, the bathroom door was only hanging on by one hing out of three so could not be closed, the lid to the kettle was broken off, the floor was dirty & very dusty, the TV did not work so I asked for it to be changed (they did change it), there was no mattress & pillow protectors so I had to sleep on top of the bed, There was supposed to be toiletries included but all you get is a tiny piece of soap, There were enough cobwebs it would have passed as a Halloween grotto.
Needless to say, I did not have breakfast.
I only stayed because I had been driving for over 7 hours, I arrived late, I was tired & had to drive again the next day.
DO NOT GO!!
I was annoyed to be allocated a room on what turned out to be the top floor and as an elderly gentleman was not easy access for me I did not realise this was at least 3 or 4 floors up. There was no lift. The hotel was very run down and as was the local area and not what I expected from the web site.
If you're after a cheap room with a private bathroom, then this is what you get. Not the cleanest, not the best looking, but a bed & a toilet/shower that do the job.
If you want a nice looking, fancy hotel, this is not the place for you, but if you're looking to save some money and you just need a place to sleep & use the facilities, then this could do the job for you.
It was dirty and it had a horrible smell. The area itself had a lot of shops and restaurants but the hotel was horrible. It was so loud at night that you could not sleep properly. I wouldnt recomend it to anyone. Its cheap but it is horrible.
receptionist was very helpful and friendly.
The room and general pedestrian areas were in need of a refurbishment and a lick of paint.
Unfortunately my bathroom was flooded from the room above as the shower leaked. I went down stairs and reception went upstairs immediately to sort the issue out.room. I was given towels to dry up my room but was not offered an alternative one.

In need of a serious overhaul
I think the title says it all. Water leaks from the room above into bathroom and from the ceiling onto the breakfast table. No holder for the shower head in the shower.
On the plus side bed comfy and staff were very pleasant

The mattress needs changed it was like sleeping on a pile of springs . The free Wi-fi thatbis offered did not work on any of my phones , tablets or laptop . I would recommend changing the mattress and get wifi that works
Handy location but room was very basic & spartan !
It was awful. I was in room 215 which was several floors up (no lift). The room was cold (it was a very wintery evening). Thin curtains, bed only had sheets no duvet, electric fan heater was sole heating source. There were not many power sockets in the room. TV or kettle if using the electric fan heater. The bathroom was awful. It had a dripping shower (bathroom had a drain floor) the bathroom floor was constantly wet . Shower had low power and low water temperature (attempted a shower in the early evening and then tried again in the morning and gave up). The bedroom door didn't have a safety latch anymore so you would have to open the door without that security option. During the night the people in the room above me made a lot of noise at 2-3am, which with the laminate floor you could hear everything. The reception was not particularly welcoming and did not ask me how my stay was when I handed my key in the morning. (In this case I'd not recommend for lone female traveller). The only plus was it was handy for city centre and on good public transport links with proximity to Leicesters golden mile with lots of nice Asian vegetarian restaurants.
It was all hunky dory till we got to the room... the walls were stained, the bathroom roof was leaking and was siliconed up, it looked like it was going to fall in.. the mirror was chipped, and the light switches were so special they moved 360• the room smelt musty and was cold all night long
