"Dinner menu included strange selections including warm watermelon and a weird black sauce that they claimed was Mole, but had no resemblance to Mexican Mole. Better to go to the nearby restaurants than to select the 1/2 pension."

"This hotel is more a series of rooms with a brief front desk that is available from 4PM - 8PM. Rooms are spacious, but basic. There is Breakfast on offer. But lunch, and no dinner. And also no bar. Therefore you need a car if you are staying here. There are 2 restaurants available in walking distance (approx. 15 mins) and an infrequent public bus / train service which if you miss a bus, wait an hour. Miss a train, wait an hour. It’s a good walk from the train station as well especially if you have luggage. Staff were terrible. Reception desk provided completely incorrect information regarding ski hire and it not being available at the summit of zugspitze. Ski hire is indeed available. So why do they not know this? They challenged my review on google saying they had no record of my stay. Expedia knows I stayed here, as that’s how I booked. So now they get one star from me. "

"Hotel Hirsch is a beautiful, traditional hotel, with an excellent restaurant. It is lovingly decorated. It has a rooftop viewing area with tables. It has a steam-heated warming rack for towels or clothes, too. It's near the old town or alte Stadt."

"This was an amazing hotel with some of the best staff I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with. The hotel on its own is in a great location, well maintained, and clean rooms. The food is outstanding (breakfast and dinner) and is always busy but the staff handle it beautifully and the business does not effect the attention you'll receive. We absolutely loved staying here.
