Domaine de Janis is a beautiful set of converted farm buildings, perfect for large gatherings of family or friends. We booked the whole place (main villa sleeps 12 in 6 bedrooms, plus 2 separate outbuildings sleeping 2 in 1 bedroom and 6 in 1 bedroom with double mezzanine respectively). The pool is a good size with beautiful views and there is a large patio with sheltered dining table big enough for all guests.Marc (the host) lives on site and was always available for questions. He is a retired chef and we arranged for him to cook us a 3-course celebratory meal one evening which was fabulous. Self catering would have been easier with a few more essential utensils and basics like kitchen roll, oil, cleaning products etc but not a major problem.Be prepared to cover some miles during your stay as the location is quite isolated but both the Lot and Dordogne valleys are in reach. It's a steep hill down to Le Vigan village where there is a lovely boulangerie/patisserie which we cycled to some mornings.
