Beautiful house and views

We all loved the house, and especially the fantastic terrace with so much space and wonderful views, and the lovely pool area. The inside of the house was also lovely, and the bedrooms all very comfortable. Air con throughout a huge plus! Kitchen really well equipped, and especially loved the fridge! Marc was very quick to reply to any questions we had before going, and to sort out any issues we had while there. We would definitely recommend!

Heaven in Aix

This gorgeous home is even nicer than the photographs. Pictures can't convey the smell of the lavender, the sounds of the cicadas, or the magical views of Mt St. Victoire from every room. We loved to watch the sunrise over the mountain and always watched the light play over it at sunset. We stayed for two weeks with 8 people. It is very spacious both indoors and out. There is a fantastic kitchen. We enjoyed going to the local markets for fresh produce, fish, and meats so that we could cook in the outdoor kitchen. There is a table with seating for ten inside, plus another large table on the patio. The decor is stunning, filled with beautiful antiques and art. A fence with a lock surrounds the pool, so it is very safe if you have kids. The air conditioning is excellent. The beds are very comfortable. There is the option to have a housekeeper twice a week. It is close to Aix and good for visiting Cassis, Arles, Avignon and St.Remy. We were very sad when our time ended and hope to return someday soon. The owners are very attentive and friendly.

Une maison de rêve

Idéalement située au pied de la montagne Sainte-Victoire, au départ de nombreux randonnées et à 15 minutes d'Aix-en Provence, c'est une magnifique maison. Vue sur la montagne, jardin arboré et très agréable terrasse ombragée par des glycines. Piscine à 30°, équipée de nombreux transats, le chant des cigales, le rêve! La maison est très bien équipée, notamment la cuisine et le linge est abondamment fourni. La literie est excellente et la climatisation dans toutes les pièces fort appréciable. Toutes les pièces sont joliment décorées. Les propriétaires sont charmants et disponibles. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour de deux semaines et ne pouvons que recommander cette location.

Magnifique Bastide

Séjour parfait

Nous avons passé deux excellentes semaines avec les amis puis la famille dans cette magnifique maison au pied de la montagne Sainte-Victoire. Il s’agit du domicile principal des propriétaires et elle est donc extrêmement bien équipée. On mange sur une terrasse ombragée au son des cigales et avec une magnifique vue sur la Sainte Victoire. On se baigne dans la belle piscine au milieu des pins et sécurisée. On prépare des repas dans la grande cuisine et l’espace bbq très bien équipés. Les commerces de très bonne qualité se situent à proximité à quelques minutes en voiture. Le centre d’Aix se trouve à 15-20 minutes en voiture. Marseille, ses calanques et les premieres plages du Var sont à 30-40 min en voiture. Grands et petits ont passé un merveilleux séjour. Un grand merci aux charmants propriétaires.

Lovely stay 20 minutes from Aix-En-Provence

The home is more beautiful than the pictures and there are many wonderful spaces to relax, would be a wonderful spot for a family. Things I loved: So beautiful and lots of space, large pool and responsive owner. Things I wish I’d known: You need a car or driver to stay here, there isn’t anything close to walk to and if you arrive on Sunday no restaurants or grocery stores will be open. During the time of year we visited, the mosquitos were crazy so bring bug spray. The owner told us check-out was an hour earlier than it listed on Vrbo and arrived to the house 10 minutes earlier than that. All said, I would love to stay here again. It’s a lovely spot and if you have a group you should definitely consider this home!

Beautiful and large place for family vacation

House with a spacious patio, beautiful look to the St. Victoire mountains. Lovely and totally equipped large kitchen with working island. Everything thought of, lovely bedrooms and multiple restrooms. Nice swimminpool. Close to nature, quiet. Good food shopping close by. Wonderful place.

Magnificent Provencal Villa

Beautifully appointed home nestled in the countryside just outside of Aix en Provence and in sight of Sainte Victoire Mountain. A favorite study of Cezanne. The home has lovely outdoor spaces and a fabulously appointed kitchen for those that want to enjoy the bountiful produce and foods of local markets. The views from the patio and many rooms of the house are like walking into a painting. The house is well deigned and comfortable for a family or couples. The owners were gracious and very attentive to our needs. We will return.

The quality and attention to detail of both the inside and outside was very high and immaculate. The furnishings were of a 5* standard and the kitchen equipped with everything needed for a relaxing holiday. Great pool and pool area. The views are amazing from the expansive terrace and all bedrooms.The villa is located in a rural setting overlooking rolling hills but a good range of local shops and a supermarket are just 5 minutes away by car. Many thanks Marc for a most relaxing and memorable holiday.

A Truly Lovely Experience from Beginning to End

Our family of 8 (including two young children) thoroughly enjoyed our comfortable stay in Marc and Rosine's lovely home. It's very rare to come across properties that look exactly the same in person as they do in the photos. Fortunately, in this case, the home and property are even more stunning in person. Le Tholonet was the perfect location to enjoy day trips to Aix, Cassis, Gordes, Roussillon, Marseille, Saint Remy and much more. Marc and Rosine were exceptional hosts, going above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. We truly felt as if we were staying with family friends and we hope to return again in the future.
