"The hotel is extremely convenient - just off the motorway - and good value. Our only very small complaint it that there wasn't enough food at breakfast - they ran out of milk and bread. Not good when you have small children!"

The room and facilities were very basic, and the overall comfort was below our expectations. "The hotel and room were clean and staff were pleasant. The restaurant wasn’t open the night we stayed which would have been useful to know beforehand. The Italian restaurant next door was ok for the one night. The dual carriage way outside was noisey with young boy racers speeding up and down. "

"A very pleasant stay at Gite du Jouteau with our family of eleven, our ages ranged from 9 to 76. Surprisingly the indoor pool was a bonus with temps in the mid 30s during our stay allowing us to cool off easily. Very quiet area and a relaxing stay in the Sarthe region of France."

"Really peaceful, lovely rooms and a warm welcome. Really good continental breakfast. There was even a kettle and decent teabags! This hotel is excellent value for money. Immaculately clean, lovely bathrooms. The rooms were spacious and comfortable - modern rooms but in keeping with the traditional rustic building. The hotel has an honesty bar where you can get a beer (but not much else) although there's no drinks or facilities to make bake a drink in the rooms. The village itself is very quiet - nothing to do apart from go for a walk. The next village along, Brulon, had a few more restaurants/cafes. We ate in the restaurant next to the hotel - worth booking ahead as it didn't look like they did walk-ins. The hotel booked us a table the day before we arrived. We would definitely stay here again and wish we'd stayed more than one night - if you're looking for a comfortable, peaceful overnight stopover, this hotel is perfect."
