"We were sidetracked and did not arrive until midnight on the day of check in. Celine had emailed me and when when I did not respond, she called to check on our well being and what time we would arrive. I felt bad that she was of course still awake at midnight to welcome us and unaware that she had other guests leaving at 5am so she had to be up super early to prepare those guests breakfast. Again super nice and accommodating people. Thank you so much"

"Amazing comfortable bed with firm but supportive mattress! Super quiet neighbourhood. Right by the Arboretum gardens of the Château. 5 minute walk to Tesse boulangerie. Bagnoles lac and restaurants 20 mins walk away. New Voie verte now connects with La Ferté-Macé giving nearly level route there....roughly 30-40 mins cycle depends how fast you go. "A lovely place to stay. We were on a trip to Bergerac and this was a one night stop so we didn't reallyhave a chance to experience the pool/spa, but the outside sitting areas were nice and being able to get wine and beer was really nice after a long drive. "It was difficult to find from the map given. We went to the wrong place initially. The restaurant was fully booked so we were told to go back to town and look. Front desk staff was not very welcoming. No stores nearby. Therapy pool was modern and enjoyable with many water jet features. Location in a wooded area was beautiful and relaxing. "A stale kitchen smell hung around the reception and permeated the building. No lights were on and it was like entering a dark cave. I normally like quaint old hotels but this was just down at heel and dispiriting. The photographer must be very clever as the reality was dismal. The sauna was an extra 55 Euros so we didnt use it and didn't eat there as the stale smell was so unappetising. We would not have stayed except that we had booked and paid in advance."
