"There was major construction work and renovations occurring during our stay but this was not overly intrusive. Staff were excellent and the buffet breakfast was very good in the French style. Hotel is very well located next to the railway station and at the edge of the Old Town."

"Classic decor, very pleasant staff and good food in the dining room.
The surroundings take you out of your life today to enter a period movie of the 1920’s.
We always stay here and enjoy the dinibgvroom"
New luxury renovation of an ancient stone barn in a medieval bastide village
10/10 Excellent
"We had a fantastic week in Adam’s converted barn in Montcabrier. The property has been adapted to a very high spec, is spacious and well appointed. The terrace affords great views over the surrounding countryside and of the pool in the garden below. Montcabrier itself is a lovely bastide village with a church, medieval fortifications and, crucially, a boulangerie! We spent our week sightseeing (Chateau de Bonaguil a highlight), hiking (there are several great walks clearly marked starting from the village square), visiting vineyards (Ch. du Cedre is quality) and browsing markets (Prayssac on a Friday was the best). We mostly cooked for ourselves with the produce garnered from the local markets, but did treat ourselves to what proved to be a fantastic meal at Le Loup Blanc in St. Martin Le Redon (only 5 minutes away by car). All in all a lovely relaxing week in beautiful surroundings."
"We enjoyed our stay at the Paulhiac house very much. There were 11 of us - 2 grandparents, 4 parents, and 5 grandchildren from 8 to 19, and the property suited us extremely well. The owners live next door, and we found them friendly and helpful. Patrice looked after the pool in an unobtrusive way. In the hot weather the pool was essential . There is lots of space - fields and woods - around the house and garden, completely private.Within easy reach by car are several beautiful bastide towns or large villages, with excellent markets and interesting shops. We did not know about these and they were a fine discovery for us.It might be pointed out that the property is three separate buildings, but close together, sharing pool, terrace, kitchen etc. We have very few small niggles. The directions to the house were rather vague - a map would have helped. The kitchen equipment was good but for the lack of a sharp kitchen knife - a common problem we have found from past holiday houses. . In one bedroom (off the games room) there should be better curtain fittings. My daughter points out that there was no provision of washing up liquid, cloth/sponge of any kind, soap for washing hands, or dishwasher tabs. This made arrival on a weekend rather difficult (shops close at 1 on Sundays) and seems unnecessarily stingy. If I hadn't brought washing up liquid with us, we would have been totally stuck till Monday. But she says this is a small thing. We were very satisfied."
"Very friendly welcome. When we visited, summer 2025, the hotel was having major building work which meant there was some disruption. Nonetheless the staff were very helpful and friendly."
