"A fantastic hotel. The rooms we very clean. We had a great view from our room, looking out over the waterfront, with snow covered hills in the background. However, I believe that some rooms looked inwards over the hotel lobby. The hotel is spotleiclean and the huge hotel lobby has many features. The staff were supremely helpful and friendly, but at the fear of singling one in particular out - a big shout out to Olga, for whom nothing was too much trouble, a real credit to the hotel. The hotel is just a little way out of downtown Reykjavik, but there are 2 bus stops nearby, and the bus ride is only a few minutes into the centre. If I go back to Reykjavik in the future, then without hesitation, this is the hotel I would look to book."

"WARNING STAY AWAY: One step away from a scam!! I booked this property in advance as part of a larger vacation itinerary. There was NOTHING in the listing that said anything about being required to contact the property in advance for check in. A couple of days before check in I received an automated email saying that I was confirmed. Like most people, I opened up the booking in Expedia the morning of check in to see what the address and instructions for check in were. Little to my knowledge, tucked way under “check in instructions” it says you must contact the property 24 hrs in advance. I messaged them right away in the AM inquiring about check in, no response. Throughout the day I messaged them and called several times, with no response. I arrived onsite where there is a sign saying to call upon arrival, this was the same number I had been calling with no response or ability to leave a message. After receiving no response from the property by 6 pm at night, I was forced to make another booking at another hotel. I finally received a message from the property at 9:30 at night (!!!) saying they were sorry they thought they already sent me the check in information!! I asked for a refund and got no response or refund from there. I contacted Expedia and SHOCKINGLY Expedia was no help in processing my refund. What was supposed to be a stress free last day in Iceland turned into a stressful ordeal. Luckily my credit card company had my back and reversed the charge. Shame on you. "

"The domes are very nice. The hot tub was great! Check-in was a little confusing and the few people there couldn’t help. I had to call to figure it out. Beds were comfy and robes too! WiFi didn’t work well it kept kicking me off or had barely a signal. Road conditions were okay a lot of pot holes to drive through. I would definitely stay again for the views and quiet comfort!!"

"Wonderfully comfortable beds. Well stocked kitchen. We bought extra paper towels and toilet paper, then found it later, of course. The hot tub was the perfect place to enjoy the Northern Lights and we also enjoyed the coziness of the fireplace nightly. Communication with the host was excellent. "

"This is a great little place to stay which has everything you need. Extremely comfortable with great hosts. Particularly appreciated the opportunity to do som washing after staying in hotels for 10 nights. Perfect find! "

"We enjoyed our stay at Icelandic Apartments. The facilities were clean and the kitchen was fairly well equipped. The only issues we had were with the door and room code, as well as the code to the laundry area for towels. However, the host worked with us to solve the issues and the response was immediate. We would stay there again."

"The host was very communicative throughout the whole process, there was a grocery store within easy walking distance, plenty of parking for rentals, and several bus stops near by. I woukd definitely stay again if I come back to Iceland with a large group again!"
