"Nice hotel in a beautiful location on the edge of the market square in Masham. The staff were really friendly and our room was good, it's a shame the bar closes early, we were up there for a gig at the Town Hall and wanted a drink afterwards with our friends, luckily the Bruce Arms were very accommodating. A nice place to stay, a shame there were no biscuits in the rooms for your afternoon cuppa though."

"Simple solution next to the motorway, clean, easy check in and check out, nice bar. Staff was kind and helpful. Next to plenty of shops. You can visit the near town or go to York in 40 minutes."

"Impressive , well located hotel in tiny Harrogate . We had a spacious executive double room but with 2 singles squashed together and no facility to specify a double. The room was very large but missing a long mirror and had space for a couch, for an executive room i would expect such niceties. The bathroom had a loose tap and loose shower fittings. Also the view of a rusty fire escape onto a flat roof was very disappointing. Overall a very impressive facility but could be so much better. Had we stayed longer then the 1 night, we would had raised these issues with the reception, but we had no time to do so."

"This is a good looking hotel, outside the floral decorations were beautiful and the outside seating was great. Inside the bar and restaurant areas were very impressive. Checkin was a bit slow as a few people were waiting,but another member of staff appeared and we were seen to efficiently. Our room, standard double, pet friendly, was fairly standard. We looked out onto a fire escape and a unit (air con?) was noisy during the day, but not at night. Space wise it was a bit tight, but we have a large German Shepherd, and there was not a lot of room for him. The bed was large and really comfortable, nice bedding. Bathroom was good, the shower cubicle was spacious and the shower powerful. Lovely toiletries provided. We had two dinners, very good, and breakfast was varied and plentiful. The staff were all friendly and professional and we appreciated being able to bring our dog to somewhere nice."
