"The property was very clean and had gorgeous views. We reserved the executive suite and had so much room to ourselves! It was great the pool and hot tub were so relaxing. We were wanting to have breakfast at the restaurant downstairs since there were so many tables open but we stood and waited for 15 minutes at the host podium and no one acknowledged us or let us know if there were any wait times for seating. So we left and decided to get breakfast in Durango instead. Other than that the stay was great and we had a fantastic time!"

"The Strater Hotel was such a magical stay! It was amazing to see all of the artifacts inside the lobby area! It was like a museum and a time capsule. We reserved the Jacuzzi and it was so clean and well maintained. It was so cozy and nice to have the whole room to ourselves for 30 minutes. Each room had its own unique attributes and I want to book the Strater over and over again so I can experience ALL they have to offer. We spent an evening at the spiritorium and were met with an independent artist playing his guitar and taking requests. It was such a great time!"

"Could use some TLC. Carpet in front of our door was ripped. Everything Looked well used. Bed was comfortable. Room was quiet not on street side. A/c was noisy. Breakfast was decent. Staff was nice."

"Thank you for hosting my family and I! We all had such a great time on the property! Plenty of amenities and very close to convince stores and downtown. The Cabin we stayed in was well equipped with what we needed. Plenty of sleeping room, comfortable beds, pillows and sleeping sofa. Everything was clean and we had more than enough clean towels! Overall I highly recommend to anyone who is looking for more of a “camping” environment. Overall we will be staying here again!"

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was a nice stay. The only problem was that it smelled like cigarettes when we walked in. We had to buy candles to deal with the smell"
