Gold Coast looks nice on the outside, and the staff is friendly. However, compared to other casino/hotels I’ve been to, this one doesn’t measure up. There was only one restaurant open later than 10PM, and I didn’t see many “pop culture” gaming machines around the casino. We only stayed at this casino because my brother was in a bowling tournament that was held at Gold Coast’s bowling alley. The snack bar was never open when we we were at the bowling alley, which I found a little strange. The room we were in was very small for the price we paid. After we got there, we found out that you have to pay extra for a room with a refrigerator. You also have to pay extra if you want to connect more than three devices to the hotel’s less than great WiFi. Also, make sure you connect the three devices you absolutely need because you’ll be stuck with those three devices until you have to reconnect to the WiFi in 24 hours. Yes, you have to reconnect to the WiFi every 24 hours. I’m sorry, but in 2021, you shouldn’t have to pay extra for WiFi and a mini fridge in a hotel room. Finally, Gold Coast’s website is not very user friendly, and it’s difficult to find information on it. I will not stay here again unless we attend another bowling tournament that’s in this hotel.
