Peaceful
This house is a very special place. Full of history and art and in a very peaceful place in Lāna‘i city. It is very comfortable. Had everything we needed to cook and relax at home. The patio was a great space to hang out. It is a charming home to explore the island from. Be sure to rent a jeep as there are some dirt roads. We loved walking to town to eat. The people of Lanai are very welcoming

Quiet, clean and comfortable on exclusive Lana’i
The Artist’s House was exactly as presented on their site - an oasis and gem. What I can add further is that the beds and couch were comfortable. Good tv and internet. Good kitchen and good water pressure in the shower. We had everything we needed. The house is nestled in amongst other homes - everyone seems respectful and quiet. We had a jeep while on Lana’i but the house is within walking distance of the town square. Jordanne was quick to respond to any questions, and helpful. I would definitely stay here again while on Lana’i

A little oasis in amongst the town and yet far away to be its own little spot and close enough to still walk into town even with no jeep! We love to walk to the restaurants with our family! Beautiful House
Lovely house in quiet area with lots of privacy. Owner/artist used her talents to decorate the house. Nicely ready kitchen if you want to cook. Beautiful hardwood floors and handpainted wall and column touches. Info packet is very thorough and helpful. Easy walk to Lanai’i City stores and eateries. And it is interesting walk because it is part of the neighborhood. A great place to stay for a few nights or longer.

Great Place on Lanai
This is a nice quiet place near the city center. Perfect for hosting a family that wants to relax and explore. The host was easy to communicate with and had great suggestions for enjoying the island. Our only regret is that we couldn't say longer. We plan to be back to get to the things we didn't have time for this time around.

Artist House - A Hidden Gem Found on Beautiful Lanai
We stayed at Artist House for a few days on a family vacation. It was perfect in every way! It started from the moment I found the listing on VRBO and easily made the reservation. The host, Rosanne, welcomed us right away, and provided amazing hospitality throughout the planning and stay. The Artist House was inviting, clean, comfortable, equipped with a great kitchen & barbeque, and close to everything on the island. It provided exactly what we were looking for - a beautiful, serene place to rest and rejuvenate! I must comment again on Rosanne's hospitality. She answered our messages right away, and was the perfect host. She shared some special places to visit and dine while we were on the island, and her suggestions were always spot on. Mahalo, Rosanne. We appreciate everything you did to make our vacation a memorable one!

Lāna‘i experience
Throughly enjoyed out stay at The Artist House. All info was as described. Cutest little bungalow! You could sleep tons of guests in that place! It was only my husband and I but the place was perfect. Clean, centrally located and so stinkin cute! Communication with the host before our trip was excellent. There was absolutely nothing we needed to bother her for while we were there. Would highly recommend The Artist House for any visits!

So relaxing
This is the perfect house for a stay on Lanai for a few couples or a family! The house is in a quiet corner of Lanai City with quick car or walking access to the town or routes out of the city. This is the second place we've stayed on Lanai, and will be the place we come back to. The house is beautiful, comfortable, cozy, with everything you need to relax and enjoy what this island has to offer. Communication with the host was prompt and friendly, and everything was as described or better. The extras really show, with a lovely deck, well equiped kitchen, outdoor shower, comfortable seating area with a web-connected TV for the late nights. We cooked most meals and had the most relaxing time. We hope to be back soon!

Comfortable home
We enjoyed our stay at the Artists house. It was clean, beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The washer and dryer came in very handy, especially with children in the house. Would love to stay there again someday.

Great place to stay on Lanai
We arrived a bit late for our check-in so it was dark. The pictures in the listing guided use right to where we needed to be. After going through the outside door we found lighting which made it easy get to the front door. Everything inside is as listed. The home is clean and well equipped. The beds are super comfy. The owner provided great information on places to eat and sites to see. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Lanai.

Overnight Stay on Lanai
We spent two days and one night at this property. It was a much cheaper alternative to the expensive resorts. We were just one couple but there is space for more. It is a beautifully-restored old plantation house, impeccably clean and well-appointed. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing House in Lanai City!
We had a great time in Lanai, thanks in part to this beautiful house we got to stay at with my wife and kids. Check in process was super easy! The house was very clean. It had a nice little yard with pond. The location is very convenient right near the center of town. The house came with beach toys for the kids and beach chairs. The bathtub and steamed shower were nice surprises after our Long Beach days! I would absolutely recommend it, and will come back again! Vetea

Perfect place to enjoy Lana’i
Two couples from Maui celebrating a milestone. Plenty of room, beautiful accommodations, easy walk to everything Lana’i city. We’ll stocked. The owner is super responsive. It’s the “artists cottage” and it is. There are beautiful pieces of art, but the whole design of the place is great. So many details you may not notice at first. Put together it’s a collective experience where the more you hang out the more great things you see and love Lanai itself is a gem. Definitely have super Hawaiian vibe and so much aloha. You must wave at every car that goes by…or your missing out. I asked it I could move in. My only disappointment is she said no! Kidding. I didn’t ask. Lol. But we’re already planning to come back. Can’t wait to visit her at her studio up country Maui soon Mahalo no for sharing your beautiful home.

Delightful Retreat
This lovely artist’s home is comfortable, quiet and well equipped. It has a lovely patio to grill and have dinner when we didn’t feel like going to a restaurant. It is a perfect home base to explore the island. We walked everywhere in Lanai City and rented a jeep to see outlying areas. We would definitely come again!

Spacious Cottage in a quiet corner of Lana'i City
The Artist's House is a lovely oasis of beauty in Lana'i City. Not only is it highly finished with natural stone, granite countertops & hardwood floors, there are gorgeous works of art all around. The patio is private and you can watch the sunset from there or from the window of the West bedroom. Jordanne, the artist and owner, was easily reachable and responsive to anything we needed. Her notebook of local history and sights to see was very helpful in planning our excursions. It was our first visit to the remote and rugged island of Lana'i--lots of fun to explore (rent a 4WD Jeep). I would highly recommend this property.

Loved the feeling of privacy.
The property is quaint, quiet and allows outdoor seating in a private, lovely setting. The location is good for enjoying Lanai City and roads to anywhere you want to be. The notebook of suggested touring locations and restaurants was greatly appreciated. The house is nicely appointed and had everything we needed. Viewing Jordanne's artwork was a plus. Should we return to Lanai we will check this property first for availability.

What a fabulous stay! Jordanne was excellent to work with - very communicative and responsive. The house is so comfortable and cozy. Jordanne’s art is beautiful. All four of us slept so well. Both kids both said separately “that was the best sleep of my life!” Not sure if it’s the chill vibe of the island or the comfiness of the beds. Probably a little of both. :) We will definitely be back…Mahalo Jordanne!

Quiet peaceful spacious home embedded in Lanai City.
Enjoyed home for our cooking, relaxing, reading, and sleeping. Shower and bath are great edition. Love the wood floors and cabinets, all the dishes and extras that we needed for food preparation. Love the extra lights and outlets. Central location on island to reach all points of interest. Wish whole family could have made trip with us. Great stay!

We recently updated the home before your stay with a brand new LG washer and dryer, a brand new refrigerator and restained the decks. The floors inside are immaculate and we just installed a new door in the second bedroom. The countertops are marble and the cabinets are solid wood. Also, recently, before your stay, we just purchased new outdoor chairs! Either way, glad your overall stay was five star and I hope you choose the home again if you are ever back on Lana’i. I would like to reiterate to anyone reading this, if during your stay, you need anything, please let me know as I truly want to give the best and most comfortable stay as possible! Mahalo, Jordanne

Great place to stay on Lanai!
Awesome house and great owner to rent from. We've stayed here a couple times in the past few years now and it's been fantastic. The outdoor shower is a huge hit, the patio space is excellent for meals and conversation, and the kitchen has everything we needed. Thanks Jordanne, we'll be back!

Great location but misleading description
Location of the house was great. Description says king bed and “very comfortable queen bed”. This is NOT the case. The second bedroom is a Full sofa sleeper that is extremely uncomfortable. Our friends spent 2 miserable nights on it. The owner needs to correct the listing asap so renters are aware of what they’re getting. This aspect was very disappointing.

Aloha Andrew, You are the absolute FIRST person to have any complaints in any review ever. I am quite disappointed that you didn’t communicate anything at all to me during your stay. You used the wrong bed! (Now, neither bed has ever had one complaint in comfort so, I can only say it’s literally your friends opinion.) The second bedroom is actually not a full sofa sleeper. That is the “living room” area. Again, confused why your friends slept there instead of the actual second bedroom room which has a new bed and there hasn’t been one person to complain ever at all! This could have been remedied very easily with communicating with me. Again, there are two bedrooms proper in the home and one has a king bed and one has a QUEEN regular (NOT a sofa sleeper) so, the listing is completely correct! I have a feeling that the second bedroom door was shut and that possibly you didn’t know it was the second bedroom which is very unfortunate. For anyone looking at this review- it makes absolutely no sense! Please feel free to contact me direct if you have any questions regarding booking or of course, actually during your stay so I can fix whatever is the issue! Mahalo, Jordanne

Great place on a great island
The Artist’s House was absolutely amazing and truly the gem of Lanai. The house was clean, spacious and has a great outdoor area for relaxing after a long day of exploring and enjoying the island. The kitchen had high end appliances and all you need to make a gourmet meal after shopping at Richard’s just down the road. We will definitely rent The Atrits’s House again!!!

Only 1 mirror in house for short people. Beautiful artwork throughout the house. Very comfortable and a great alternative to hotels. Recommend renting a Jeep or 4WD to allow you to explore the island.

Aloha Linda, I’m glad you enjoyed your stay. I find the mirror review most peculiar since I am 5’2 and as a female, mirrors are important to me as well. Both the master bathroom and the guest bathroom have mirrors that I can see myself perfectly in. There is also a stand alone mirror to be able to see detail if need be. Second stay
It was my second stay at the Artist House. The first time was in 2021 under a friend’s reservation. I highly recommend this VRBO for anyone considering a visit to the beautiful island of Lanai!

Private Paradise
I've come back from my third stay at this beautiful house. The owner Jordanne is an aritist, and it shows! The best features of this house is the location on the edge of the small town, privacy fence, patio, and small garden. Once you've entered and close the gate, you really feel like you are in your own little bit of paradise. For the island of Lanai, this is my first property to check on availability. It is always well maintained and has consistently been a wonderful place to stay!

Amazing hidden Lanai Oasis!!
My sister and I were just here for one day for a business trip and we were very sad that we werent able to spend more time there! Our hosts were so kind and accommodating. The communication was prompt and the follow up was more than appreciated. Upon arrival we were very happy that the property had a gate and was protected. We are two girls and while Lanai is safe it gave us some extra peace of mind. Upon entering the gate, we felt like we were in a private hidden oasis. The home was clean, beautifully landscaped, and we loved all the little decor accents. There were so many amazing places to lounge around the home and hang out. We noticed the outdoor shower on the day we were leaving and were so sad we didnt get to experience it. We will def return, next time for leisure so we can get the full experience of this magical getaway. Mahalo to our super hosts, we are so grateful :)

Great getaway on Lanai!
We had a lovely short but sweet stay at the Artist’s House. The house was clean and everything we needed, along with a nice bathtub! Self check in was a breeze and Jordanne was lovely and gave great recommendations on where to eat and sites to see.

Slow down and enjoy Lanai
What a great home to relax and enjoy the calm pace on the island of Lanai. There is ample space for a family or set of friends to eat, sleep, and lounge. We found the house to be as advertised and pictured. The surf was up during our visit, but the waves were a blast to ride.
