Brilliant, brilliant BnB with the best food!

If you are in the area and looking for a warm welcome, a lovely stay and incredible food, run (don't walk!) to Maison Dodo. We left over a week ago and my 3 year old asked me yesterday to call Gaspare (the proprietor) and ask him to make us some pasta. A beautiful property, a lovely welcome and one of the best BnB hosts that we have ever had, if not the best.

Great Dinner!

This is a wonderful find in the middle of the region near Bergerac. The rooms are lovely and well appointed. The host is wonderful and energetic. Very helpful. Loved the dinner!

Relaxing

We choose this hotel as it was close to the campsite my son and his family we staying at and it was perfect. The owner of the hotel was very helpful. We did not hire a car so he ferried us bac and forth to the campsite. When he was unable to accommodate us he arranged for a taxi. But if we were to visit the hotel again we would hire a car, as you do need one to get the most from the area.

A peace haven facing vineyard

It was beautiful inside and out. Delicious diner with elegant and arty decoration. You wake up in the morning hearing the birds singing and facing the massive vineyard. A true gem in this region; highly recommended

Ok but not a real B&B

B&B is in a pleasant, quiet location. Room and bathroom were very large and had wooden beams and stone walls. Windows were dormer windows in the sloping ceiling, so no open view. Amenities (soap, shampoo etc.) were provided and there were three accessible electric outlets for charging phones etc. WiFi worked well, but no TV in the room. A few details were disappointing – host was not engaging (unusual in a B&B), shower drain was partially blocked, shower curtain was hung backwards and didn’t slide on the rail and there was no desk). Breakfast was Ok, but is not included in the price. Overall, a comfortable room but not the same "feel" as other B&Bs. Not particularly good value for the money.

Most excellent little hotel

Lovely surroundings, nice garden with chickens and cats walking around. Very nice, spacious rooms, full fridge with drinks, great Italian dinner cooked by the nice host and copious breakfast. Of course we will be back!

Friendly stay, with great service

I'd highly recommend a stay a here. We were picked up from the train station by Gaspare, who was on time, very friendly and spoke great English. When we arrived we were really impressed by the grounds, and particularly by the large, very rustic room. As our stay was slightly out of season, we were the only guests sitting for dinner, which meant we got spoiled by Gaspare. The food was delicious (restaurant standard in my eyes), and locally sourced, as was the complimentary wine. We were dropped off at the airport, again no problems. We'd certainly stay again if we were in the area.

Excellent service from Gaspar, for example, he picked us up at the airport, and dropped us off after our stay ( at a cost ) but was willing to go to any length to make sure we enjoyed ourselves.
