"The house and property was well cared, clean for and in a beautiful setting. We noticed all the details that made it renter friendly such as an abundance of dish-ward, utensil , towels, etc. The lake was beautiful and we enjoyed our time away!"

"What a cozy cabin on Lake Huron! The water was so clear and the beach was sandy. We saw five people and two other dogs on the beach over the course of three days. Our dog just wanted to keep playing in the water and on the beach. I’m sure during the summer months the beach is more busy. The peace and quiet was very enjoyable. You could hear a little traffic off of US 23 at times, but it wasn’t enough to bother us. The hosts were very responsive. We enjoyed the wind blowing through the cabin, playing cards, BBQing, sitting on the beach and deck, and exploring the local farmers markets. Two things to be aware of is that there are no box fans or larger fans to use in place of no air conditioning and sand is hard to keep out of the hot tub. This cabin is truly a gem and feels like a little piece of heaven."

"We had a very nice, relaxing stay. The sunrises on the lake were awesome and it was very quiet. The house is furnished very well and the furniture is comfortable. Mike & Mari are exceptional hosts and went out of their way to make us feel at home. We very much appreciated that."

"Very quiet area. My wife and I made a last minute decision to take a few days off. We went mid spring and were the only lodge, of the 4, that was occupied for 3 of the 4 nights (early May). Stayed in the Lake House. Between the view of the beach/lake and having both an indoor fireplace and an outdoor fire pit, it was exactly what we were looking for. We couldn't believe how perfect it was considering we only made the choice to go about a week earlier"

"Unfortunately we would not return to this house. We loved the proximity to beach and the lake view from the upstairs bedroom, and appreciated the upstairs AC unit. That was about all we were able to enjoy… the place was very dirty, dishes weren’t clean, throw blankets were not washed and had awful smells. Shower was small with no soap, shampoo, etc. There were SO many bugs both outside and inside, which I’m sure is just a seasonal May thing and not the property owner’s fault. However, there were many bugs and some ants inside. When we reached out about the bugs, they did offer to move us to another property, but it was not the right location/ideal situation for us. Overall, we just did not feel clean or comfortable here. Communication was great and quick. The town of Oscoda was cute, quaint, and homey!"

"The beach house was not impressive. It needs some simple and low cost updates and some better cleaning. There was a missing outlet cover in the kitchen, the ceiling fan couldn't be turned off, a missing globe on a light fixture, the slider door screen had fallen off, the door to the 2nd floor deck has so much moisture between the glass that you couldn't enjoy the view from that room, there was a large spider web (and spider) in the bedroom, the bathroom vent fan made a horrible noise when you turn it on and the main entry door doesn't seal properly. The view is great but I definitely expected more."
