"This was my first time staying at Barefoot. It came highly recommended by a good friend of mine. This is a great resort. Amazing beach area with multiple fire pits, volleyball net and a swing set for kids. Cabins and very clean. I will definitely be staying at this resort again."

"The house was absolutely gorgeous. Plenty of room for 14 adults for a long weekend. Comfy beds, very nice bathrooms that have all been redone and updated beautifully. The outdoor spaces are wonderful, with plenty of deck and beach seating. The water park toys are so fun and the swim area was nice. The basketball court area is brand new and you can tell that Byron has put a ton of work and love into making this property a wonderful vacation home. We’ve been doing this long weekend trip for 10 years and have stayed in a variety of lake houses across the state of Michigan, and we all agreed this home is our top one. My only dislike was the large amount of goose poop across the lawn, basketball court, and parts of the beach. This is clearly not something that Byron has control over and absolutely nothing that I fault him for, just to be clear. We chased the geese away whenever they tried to come up on the lawn, which was often, and we were able to clean off the basketball court to use it. That was really the only issue and again, not something that Byron can really prevent!"

"Host always responded to messages although we couldn't always fix the issue. Interior was clean but could use some maintenance, wobbly furniture, chipping paint, loose trim. Quaint and simple-everything is mismatch- no two forks or spoons or cups were the same. There were games in the closet and plenty of towels and pillows. Would have been nice to have some basic cleaning rags and spray. Plenty of outdoor seating and beach toys, but also cans and spent firework trash was on the property."
