This home has all the perks you will need while relaxing in the Sierras. The wood stove keeps the home nice and cozy no matter the weather, while the large, upper deck is the ideal place to take in the sights and sounds of the forest. You will also have a full kitchen that comes equipped with a single K-Cup brewer and coffee pot, air fryer, french press maker, and griddle, along with a gas grill to prepare wonderful meals. A special treat this home offers is a private, dry sauna, and massage chair in which you can relax and soothe your aching muscles after a long day hiking, swimming, or skiing. Enjoy your favorite playlists and movies using the home's premium surround sound system. Each bedroom and bathroom also features its own Nest thermostat for personalized temperature settings, and Alexa clocks for music and white noise.

This home is nestled in the trees of the Sierra National Forest, which is full of mountains to hike and bike. In the summer, make the 12-mile drive to Huntington Lake Resort Marina, or drive 14 miles south to the more popular Shaver Lake Marina for plenty of fun on the water. If you brought your skis in winter, tear up the powder at China Peak Ski Resort, a short six miles from this rental.

THINGS TO KNOW
A 4x4 vehicle is recommended, and chains are required in winter.
Cell service can be quite poor in areas around Shaver Lake and items such as GPS devices may not function properly. It is suggested that guests print out driving directions prior to arrival.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles.

Security camera details: There is one camera facing the road at the top of the gable on the front of the house. This camera does not look into the home and is used to monitor snow conditions to ensure proper removal is done.

Please note: this home resides in a noise-sensitive area and the owners participate in our Good Neighbor protection program. Our smart home technology will alert our team if excessive decibel or occupancy levels are detected, allowing us to reach out directly with a reminder of maximum occupancy and quiet hours. This technology is privacy compliant, and only monitors the presence of decibels and devices-not any personal conversation or information. Thank you for supporting our efforts to be good neighbors!

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) Beautiful view
Location and view is beautiful. Main living area is up 13 steep stairs. There was a lot of hauling upstairs for all the food and drinks. Dishes in cupboards were not clean. Linnen and beds were good and very clean. Loved the massage chair! It was amazing! Thank you

Great for families
This house was comfortable and spacious and fun to hang out in. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the cleanliness, my bed sheet had a spot on it and I found an insect on the pillow, but other than that no complains

Good for families
We had 3 adults and 4 children with us and were comfortable and had plenty of room. The location is remote, but that's what we were looking for. We had great quality time. Thank you!

Great place
The house is very confortable and clean. The living room is perfect to spend quality time with family (or friends). The kitchen has everything. The bedroom are not small. We went during summer and the temperature inside the house was perfect. Internet is not great but you won’t really need it anyway.

Great views!!
This cabin provided beautiful views. The kitchen, floors, and bathrooms were done beautifully. I’m not sure if this cabin had been stayed in for awhile, but when we first walked in, we noticed a slight odor. We also noticed that all the windows on the bottom floor were boarded up and we couldn’t open any of them for fresh air. Only one window in the first bedroom could be open for ventilation. A first aid kit was provided in the cabin—but most of items have expired back in 2008. Additionally, the coffee maker did not work—it just wouldn’t turn on. The WiFi and on demand cable barely worked—there was connection but doesn’t actually work. Calls CANNOT be made in this area for future visitors. Also, there was no instructions to where the trash needed to go. There was only 1 bin outside, and that was not enough for the trash we had. Along with that, we couldn’t call Vacasa due to no cell reception to ask where the trash needed to go. Other than that, the cabin was big enough for a family and the views were beautiful!!
