Truly unique experience with native islander family. Host and family spent extra time with me answering any/all of my questions. An unforgetable experience, so much so that I added to the bill. I'd recommend for anyone who visits Lake Titicaca.

대단히 만족스러운 롯지입니다. 다른 곳에 비해 가격이 저렴하지만, 매우 아름답고 편안합니다. 특히 호스트 가족은 매우 사랑스럽습니다. 밤에 잘 때 따뜻하라고 보온페트병도 만들어주시고, 시내까지 갈수 있게 차도 태워주십니다. 이곳에서의 경험은 평생 잊지 못할 추억입니다.

Definite down sides

I will break this down into pros and cons because I don’t think hotels.com adequately prepared me for this property Pros: beautiful, incredible location. You literally have a deck that drops off into lake Titicaca. Lovely bedroom with comfortable beds Carlos is very kind and will give you a tour of the community Cons: This is AT BEST glamping. There is no plumbing. You literally go to bathroom in a bucket, and then use dirt from the bucket next to the “toilet” to cover up your... excrement. You would think that they would regularly empty said bucket, but I stayed there for two nights and it was never emptied. This of course led the bathroom to not smell very good. Don’t stay more than a night or two. You’re stuck on the tiny island unless you want to get Carlos to take you the 10 min by boat to land, where you then have to take a taxi into town. It is COLD. They very kindly provided hot water bottles for the bed. But that wasn’t quite sufficient. I can’t imagine staying in the Peruvian winter. All in all it was a hell of an experience but this is certainly not a hotel.

Host speaks English and beautiful accommodation

Carlos is a great host, he speaks English and was helpful on the messages prior to arrival already. Accommodation is comfortable, soft duvets and gas heater made the stay warm. Location is beautiful and the room is nicely decorated.

All around awesome experience!!

Staying on a floating island in Lake Titicaca is obviado going to be different then a usual stay in regards to plumbing and electricity. If you're looking for standard hotel amenities you may be better off staying on land. We loved the whole experience. The island is fun. The heaters kept the room warm. The food was far better than I anticipated. Carlos and daily did a wonderful job hosting. We were quite comfortable and the view is incredible!

Wonderful 4-Night Stay!

We spent four nights here and had a wonderful time! Carlos was amazing, informative, and helpful. He transported us by boat to Puno whenever needed and connected us with great tours. We loved the view from our room and deck. Meals were good; breakfast was included and dinners were about $7pp. The hot water bottles for our beds each night were awesome! This is a great place to stay with your family if you enjoy unique, rustic accommodations, which we do. The rooms are not fancy, but they are comfortable. You will deal with spiders, tepid shower water, low water pressure, and a pit style toilet to cover with sand/dirt as needed. All part of the experience!

An extraordinary experience in Lake Titikaka. We spent 3d/2n and enjoyed the time with the family in the floating island. The host Neil is friendly and helpful, and has shared a lot about Uros cultures and history as well as their daily life in lake. This is not a so-called resort type holiday but you won't disappoint if you love to tour in depth and experience something different. Miss the smile of Neil's daughter, Luna, a shy but cheerful little giri.

Most memorable stay for the whole family! The owner arranged for pick up and was attentive and helpful. The entire island was made of reeds and a sight to behold. Room was clean and comfortable, with huge windows overlooking the lake - perfect when lightning filled the sky at night! Dinner was delicious and well portioned, and owner had a good chat with us in perfect English. We even got a boat tour of the other islands the second day. The most unique stay we’ve ever had! Highly recommended.
