Good location, especially for the Teranaki Falls walk, but also for Tongoriro Crossing (20 minutes drive to the trail head). The staff was friendly. The room was clean and as-described. The property is a little old/dated. Also, the hot tub is only available 3pm to 8pm and you need to reserve a 30-minute slot (on the plus side you get the hot tub to yourself for the 30 minute slot, and the clean it fully every day).

The hotel location is great, the room was clean and tidy, beds comfortable, but the bathroom was full of mould and in definite need of a refurb.
