Wonderful

The house was just as pictured, with a cute deck to hang out on during our warm summer evenings. It was really warm upstairs, but there are plenty of fans to cool it off. It is really easily located to get to just about everywhere in North Tahoe, because we definitely did! I imagine that fireplace would be wonderful in the winter months.
Last-minute ski trip just after New Years'. The house worked great for our needs - we enjoyed the hot tub after a blizzard, and cooked dinners there. As others note, heat downstairs was very hot, but no heat vents directly into upstairs bedrooms so they were cold especially if you leave the doors closed. Space around is nice - especially after fresh snow! - but not very convenient to walk to anything else.
The cabin was so cozy, fully stocked and super clean. We visited with another couple and our infant and didn't have any troubles getting in, finding everything we needed for cooking for the baby, and also the fully stocked kitchen was amazing! The rooms were clean, well organized and we had a very comfortable stay. The communication was easy and clear to follow. Hot tub in the back deck was amazing. Definitely coming back.

Second time, less charmed
This was our second time at this property. We came back as we needed a familiar place to stay with multiple family members. The property is in a great location, however this year there were a lot of building works all around. Kinda noisy in the morning and during the day. The main issue however for us was with the interiors. The two couches were old two year ago for our first visit and have not aged well. Same problems with the bedding and the towels. Very old and worn out. When we stripped the beds the last day we noticed that most of the pillows and the mattresses were old and stained in various parts. That did not live us with a good feeling. The carpet around the house is also very old and not clean. We felt that for the price we paid we should have gotten more and better. The bedding and towels issues especially are very easy fixes that should have been take care of. Overall we managed to have a good vacation, however we would probably not return to this property unless the mentioned issues are resolved.
We absolutely loved our stay at Cozy Cabin celebrating Dads and Grads. It was our family of four's first trip to Tahoe, and the location was perfect. We had everything we needed to enjoy a meal, coffee on the deck, time in the hot tub, or nearby hikes. We'd love to visit again!
Had a great visit. Upstairs gets hot in the summer, but fans provided and cools down at night. Very comfortable home.

Perfect for our family
We were looking for a place with a hot tub and close to a green belt. The cabin fit our needs perfectly. The green belt was across the street so was easy to take the small children sledding without having to get the car packed and go someplace else. The cabin itself is very comfortable and fit our family of 4 adults and 2 children under 5 easily.
Overall this cabin was great. The kitchen has just about everything you need to cook and clean, the hot tub is amazing, the gas fireplace is awesome, plenty of hot water for showers, really comfy beds and a cozy overall feel. The only downside was the heating system which overheats the downstairs and barely heats the upstairs. The property management was helpful and advised us to close the vents downstairs and use the space heaters that they had available in the house upstairs. That helped a bit but it's the one downside to the rental and could probably be fixed with an HVAC maintenance visit. But overall, great rental!
We had a wonderful week in this cabin. The location is great, the kids enjoyed sledding in the adjacent woods. The cabin was super clean and is really well equipped. The open floor plan downstairs and the big windows with an unobstructed view to the woods create the perfect relaxing space. We also enjoyed the perfectly clean jacuzzi. All in all, it was wondery!
If you are looking to polish up on your handyman skills, this is a great place to stay. I highly suggest you request to see a mold inspection report dated after October 10, 2020. Tahoe Getaways gave it the old college try to fix the problems with a positively passive aggressive attitude from personal interactions to emails—and it was enough for us to pack up after 6 days of a 13 day stay and pay for a new place.
Upon arrival, we found strange odors coming from the bathroom and laundry room. The owners were kind enough to leave a letter on the kitchen cabinets (to the cleaners) explaining that there was a leak—and to keep the water turned off. The drain in the bottom bathroom was broken. The faucet in the upstairs bathroom was broken. Multiple outlets/extensions cords didn’t work. The two fans we tried to plug in were broken. The trash in the bear box was beyond full. There are pictures of the owners and mid-sized bear statues everywhere—the decor is a constant reminder that this isn’t your home, it’s someone else’s. The owners storage is in every nook and cranny of the bedrooms, such as dirty used shoes, extra mattresses, printers, desks, play pens. The bottom bathroom smells reeks of a wafty moldy smell at least 50% of the day. The bear box/trash was so full we could not fit anything in it. The best part of this place is the outside decks, and I genuinely mean that.
After explaining to TG the problems we were experiencing they sent out their operations manager. He walked in—and his absolute indifference to the situation was palpable. He left after about 20 mins, and took our trash. The next day I received an email from TG stating: “glad we could send our team by to tighten a few knobs which seemed to have loosen over time, and pull some trash for you even though the trash company was scheduled to have cleared it in 2 days from the outdoor enclosure.” The drain broke again and they came and just removed it. A family of 5 cannot sit inside with their trash for 5 days. From cobwebs in the paneling to dusty musty nooks and crannies, my advice is to book something else, you won’t regret it. Once you book, you can’t cancel—but you can get your taxes back. I have plenty of photos/videos to prove this.
The cabin was so cozy and in a prime location. We loved the trail right in front of the house and enjoyed many long walks there. The downtown area was so near and accessible and the Hot tub was very clean and we enjoyed it many times. Thank you so much for an amazing Father’s Day weekend after being on quarantine for 3 months!
Cozy Wood Cabin is a LOVELY cozy little spot off a private drive. The front of the cabin looks out on to open nature so our 7 year olds could frolic and play happily in the snow right outside the cabin door with no concerns about vehicle traffic. We were three adults, 2 kids and a toddler and I couldn't have asked for a more quaint experience for us. The hot tub was key to our happiness since some of us didn't ski and for the ones who skied it felt heavenly to soak sore muscles in the hot tub after a day on the slopes. We loved that the hot tub was right out the back door. Many of the Tahoe cabins have a hot tubs but the ares on a different level from the main living space. This is very convenient if you want to keep a close eye on kids. The hot tub was a bit dirty and the fireplace was not set to the proper mode for usage but Tahoe Getaways responded immediately to our message and was there within hours to fix both problems. The maintenance guy who came was really great and we were on our way to enjoying a super clean hot tub and fire in the gas fireplace.
The house was clean and organized. It felt like the owners really value their special little place in the woods. The beds in the tiny bedrooms were very comfortable and made up with updated clean bedding. The house was safe for a toddler. We just moved the kitchen bar stools to block the stairs which worked most of the time. ;)
I have had great experiences renting from Tahoe Getaways and will continue to rent homes from them. The experience is always seamless and with zero hassles so that we can enjoy our vacations fully.
Thank you Tahoe Getaways and thank you Cozy Cabin for a relaxing fun weekend in the mountains! We'll see you again soon!

Our family of 5 recently stayed here for a spring break ski trip and loved it. Home was was very clean, had all the amenities we needed and was close to town and skiing. A couple of neighbors close by, but surrounding woods gave this home a very private mountain feel. We would definitely return.

I wrote a positive email to Tahoe GETAWAYS immediately after leaving the cozy wood cabin. Rich and I were thrilled with our stay. We liked the location. We were located close to our dear friends wedding location on Old County Road, walking distance. We liked the awesome forest hike right behind the cabin. We liked the fact that our sons and their wives could come and stay for the weekend and sleep in comfortable upstairs rooms. We appreciated both the friendly office staff and hard working cleaning crew who were promptly responsive to our requests. Thank you Tahoe GETAWAYS for excellent service.

We had a great time in the Cozy Wood Cabin over Christmas, 2014. There were 6 adults and we enjoyed the atmosphere and amenities. Kitchen and Bathrooms are very nice and the beds were comfortable. We would have liked more seating space in the living room. Two love seats wasn't really enough space for 6 people to comfortably sit by the fire or watch TV but we made do. Overall we enjoyed the stay and would rent this cabin again.

I organized a small group (8) of friends for a weekend at Lake Tahoe and found a similar cabin on VRBO. Unfortunately the cabin was booked, but the management company got back to me with this cabin, which turned out to be a better fit, anyway. This cabin was great for us. We were leaving from the Bay Area and planned to arrive between 9 and 10pm. The hot tub was ready when we arrived, which was great, and the provided directions supplemented our navigation. The house was well stocked and spacious. I think I'll be coming back when I can muster up another group!
