Plan a comfortable and fun-filled North Lake Tahoe vacation at this three-bedroom Northstar home, where you'll enjoy a private game room and close proximity to ski slopes, golf, and other fantastic resort amenities. This two-level mountain view home sits just one mile from the Village at Northstar, where guests will find a variety of restaurants, cinemas, and the base of the Highlands, Village Express, and Big Springs Express Gondolas. You'll be two miles from Northstar California Golf, eight miles from Kings Beach, eight miles from Truckee, and 11 miles from the lovely shores of Donner Lake.

Step inside the living space to find an abundance of knotty pine details, which only enhance the cozy mountain atmosphere. Build a fire in the wood stove (wood is even provided), rest your ski legs on one of the three sofas as you read, or peruse the DVD and VHS collection for a favorite to watch on the flatscreen cable TV. Spend each morning in the well-equipped full kitchen, using the mixer, blender, and waffle iron to whip up a homemade meal. And there's no need to rush as you eat breakfast at the dining room table for eight - the convenient dishwasher will take care of the clean-up. Worried about overpacking for this summer or winter getaway? You'll have a private washer and dryer to refresh your outdoor wardrobe, as well as free WiFi to help you monitor the weather conditions. You'll always come home to a private deck, perfect for summer relaxation among the trees.

Guests can also take the free resort shuttle one mile to reach the NPOA Recreation Center, which offers year-round and seasonal pools, hot tubs, saunas, a tennis center, a gym, an adult clubhouse, and a game room with air hockey, Ping-Pong, billiards, and foosball (for a small daily fee). Whether you're planning a family ski vacation, a summer lake getaway, or simply looking for the comfort of a world-class resort community, Northstar is a place to enjoy the natural beauty of the Sierras. The mountain boasts 20 lifts and 100 trails across 3,170 acres - ideal terrain for intermediate skiers especially. Come summertime, the Robert Muir Graves-designed golf course features 18 scenic holes, while the NPOA Recreation Center offers year-round fun for all ages. You can swim laps, watch your kids enjoy the summer splash pad, take a soak in one of the hot tubs, or practice your serve at the seasonal tennis center.

Great Location near North Star ski resort
Cozy home. Needs a bit of updating. For example the cookware was in bad shape. No lighters or matches to get the wood burning fireplace going. The promoted games in game room, some were broken. Other wise a good place to stay with family.

Traditional Tahoe cabin
Spent a week here during an awesome snow week. They had sleds and shovels available for us to play in the snow. Cabin is cozy with a downstairs “kids room” with multiple bunks. Place was clean, heating worked well, though downstairs was cooler, electric blankets helped keep downstairs sleepers warm at night. Kitchen a little antiquated with electric burners, but otherwise well stocked. Super convenient to catch the free shuttle to Northstar to ski. We had 5 awesome days of hitting the slopes!

Cute little cabin. Great location. Good price. Needs a little tlc but still good.
We loved this little cabin. It was a great location, beautiful neighborhood, short walk to the Northstar Village, access to Recreation Center with lots to do. The unit was clean but there were a few things that I think they could do better on. I wish they would include some extra and basic essentials. Bath rugs: There are no bath rugs for when you get out of the shower to prevent standing on a wet floor. Extra Bath Towels: We wished you would include some extra towels in the unit. There was only one per person hanging on the wall but if we had more people we would need more. Soap: Only some of the bathrooms had soap in them Toilet Paper: There was no extra toilet paper beyond the one roll These are things we consider travels should not have to bring with them and are expected to be in the unit same as staying in a hotel. There was a bug infestation in the laundry room downstairs but other than that the unit was still clean. They sent out pest control after we left I believe. Overall we loved this cabin. It was just right for our needs. It would be 5 stars if it included the basic toiletries and had the pests taken care of prior. We would be willing to stay here again. I hope they take care of those things prior.

Great Location
The proximity of this cabin to the Northstar slopes was a great perk. The house was spacious and equipped with pretty much anything you could need. There's a garage to park in. The driveway is treacherous in icy weather and were covered with icy snow upon arrival. The steps up to house were dangerous with ice/snow packing them. The cabin reminded me of my Grandma's house when I was young. Some would say it is ready for some updating but I enjoyed the retro feel of the cabin. It was very comfortable and was located close to the slopes so we were happy.

Softball Team loses out
The house accommodated our sleeping, showering and washing of uniforms. We were unfortunately, not happy with the condition of the cooking utensils (frying pans), cleanliness of the carpet, and the temperature of the home during the 98 degree heat wave. We needed to open the house up at night which brought in these strange beetle bugs. Not to mention being hyper vigilante of bears. We were really looking forward to using the Northstar Rec pool but there were no directions on how to even access it. A real bummer.

Needs Refurb
There is absolutely nothing wrong with an older establishment…but, steps should be taken to properly maintain. Extremely staind carpet throughout…weathered linoleum…all appliances are circa 1970, wallpaper is peeling, furniture is badly worn…drains in shower do not drain (we cleaned twice). The house may be clean, but it’s impossible to tell, with its outdated aesthetics. The fastest Wi-Fi speeds we could manage was 3.39mbps/down…terrible. The area is beautiful and quiet…it’s a shame to not take preventive maintenance steps to enhance an enjoyable stay. We are business travelers 180 days a year and frequent many types of accommodations…this stay was a disappointment and at the bottom of our list. If the price points are to remain their current rate…there should be more honesty and transparency about the property.

Nice Vacation House
Overall the property was comfortable and enjoyable to be in. The arcade machine appears to have been out of order for a while and while the listing noted that 4x4/chains would be needed in the winter, I was not anticipating that the driveway would still be covered in ice when significant snow fall hadn't occurred for 1.5+ months. Outside of those two items, we would still recommend this property.

As expected
As expected per prior reviews. Great location. Car slid on ice in driveway and steps were dangerous to climb to front door -need to shovel steps and driveway in winter.

Great Northstar stay
Perfect for what we were looking for. Minutes from the Northstar village, free shuttle access. Not an upgraded home, but everything worked perfectly fine and we enjoyed our stay very much. Great overall value.
