"Enjoyed my stay. Everything was great with my room. Enjoyed the social from 5-6:30. Didn’t eat breakfast or anything else there. Had a small issue with a vagrant in the parking lot across from the hotel. Security addressed the problem right away. Used guest laundry room. My credit card was charged twice for the washer and dryer. I only washed and dried one load. Not at bad location for the bathhouses, restaurants and shops. Would definitely consider staying there again if I’m ever in the area"

"The only complaint I have is there were no safety bars in the bathroom and no shelves for your toiletries. There was a hook on the back of the door and that was it!"

Lake Cabin with Fantastic View--Kayak, Swim or Fish

"Overall the Cabin was nice and the photos are accurate. We would stay there again. That said, I think there are a few things people sure be aware of before booking. First, is that if you are looking for a house on a lake where your kids can swim all day, this is not the place for you. The lake was created via a Dam and the water is very low. The "Shoreline" is a concrete ledge and the area from that ledge to where the water actually starts in full of concrete and weeds and all sorts of things really make you wonder what is underneath the water. You could maybe swim off the end of the dock and not have to worry about touching anything on the bottom but the water is so low I don't think you could get back up on to the dock again. We did not feel safe swimming there. However, it was just a short drive from Lake Sylva Recreation area which I highly recommend. Also, if your child is deathly afraid of dogs or bugs I would recommend you look elsewhere. The inside was great but nature is nature outside and the front door always had a few daddy longlegs, spiders, and 1 very interesting praying mantis that made entry and exit tricky. In addition there were 2 dogs that came down to see us each night when we were having a fire. No clue where they came from and they were well behaved good boys who went back home the minute we started putting the fire out, just and FYI for anyone who might not be so happy to see a furry friend. Still overall a good stay."

"Perfect for a weekend near Hot Springs! We loved the remote location to get away from the busy-ness! Cowboy pool was amazing during the heat as well. Board games, kitchen electronics, hair dryer, towels, blankets, soap were all provided as well! Check in and out was a breeze! Will be coming back!"
