"Handwasing the dishes was not expected and whomever did them before us did not do a good job. But otherwise it was clean and roomy. The creek on the property is a drainage strip."

"This property is in a lovely, private setting overlooking Lake Superior with a huge yard with beautiful trees. The home is comfortable and clean with lots of books and interesting artwork throughout the place. The kitchen is well supplied with cookware, dishes and utensils. There is plenty of comfortable seating. Everything was very clean. There were plenty of towels. It is a short drive or walk into Grand Marais. In town, there are plenty of eateries and a lovely beach, Agate Beach, renown for its beautiful rocks."

"The only suggestion is to light the walk way from the parking to door. But I would recommend this property to anyone. Vey clean and comfortable. It was like home away from home."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Everything was clean, cozy, and the owner clearly puts in a lot of effort and care into this place. There’s plenty of sleeping space and parking (we had one couple and two single adults, two cars), lots of indoor activities to do for the family (games, pingpong, etc), full kitchen, and the washer dryer was perfect for after our hike earlier that day in the rain. Do be mindful of how much hot water you use within a short period of time if you have a lot of people, we were out after the third person."
Lake Front Cabin Located On Muskallonge Lake

"The location was excellent. Very peaceful setting on the lake. We did have a few things that need improvement. The larger bed was loud and uncomfortable. It made noise everytime you moved and woke others. The walk to Lake Superior was a little longer and more strenuous than expected. The one larger kayak available for use had every strap broken except one side of the seat and no life preservers were provided. Overall, we did enjoy our stay. It was very clean and the stars at night were amazing. With a few minor improvements this is definitely a five star place!"

"The Great Escape is a truly wonderful Up North cabin that is in immaculate condition and fully stocked with everything needed for a great beach vacation! There are so many personal touches throughout the cabin that really set it apart from other places we have stayed. The location is unbeatable with short path to the beach and unrivaled rock hunting, Adirondak chairs are at a nice halfway spot that was appreciated on windy days, and enjoyed morning coffee and reading in the sun on the deck chairs as well! Perfect spot to unwind and enjoy everything Grand Marias and Lake Superior have to offer!"
