Retreat cottage on private 12-acre pond.
9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (4)
"If your looking for tranquility this is the place. I suprised my wife for her birthday with a weekend away and some much needed down time. We canoed the pond and walked the trails. The beaver's occasionally swam by and we were visited by the blue jays and the gray jays. Bring your candles for those candle lit evenings, remember no hydro. The location was easy to find and everthing was as the pics show. If needed you can charge your phone with the solar powered charger and signal strength is...

Whitney House Retreat - Steps from Algonquin Park
10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (4)
"This property was exactly what we were looking for; peaceful. We had easy access to Algonquin for some lovely hikes as the house is not far from East gate. The home is newly renovated, clean, organized and fully stocked. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was modern. There was never "I wish I had..." because it was there! The mud room was our favourite as it provided huge windows and lovely light to pour in for a morning coffee. Beautiful! We will be back! Thank you so much!"

"We arrived at around 7:15pm, but the door of the reception was closed! And they even didn't accept us to have the dinner at its restaurant, the staff said the lastest reservation time for the dinner was at 6:45! We stayed at a room, not a cottage, we can hear the people who stayed next room, talking clearly just as they were sleeping beside you, it is not private at all!"

"Our stay at Janice's cottage was simply outstanding! From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. Janice, our host, was incredibly welcoming and her communication was clear and prompt throughout our stay, making us feel right at home. The cottage itself was nothing short of ideal - cozy, comfortable, and impeccably decorated. Every detail seemed carefully considered, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that made it hard to leave. We enjoyed every moment of our time here so...

"David and Stefan made us feel at home immediately. In our three night stay here, there is absolutely nothing to criticize. All meals were fabulous. There is always something of interest to do here, whether it be hiking, paddling on the pond, relaxing or reading. It's a great place to achieve digital detox and get away from everything for a while. We love this place!! "

"This was a great place to stay with our elderly parents. The home is very clean with every comfort required. The check in was very straight forward. The walk to the lake is breath taking and beautiful. The lake is clean and has a lovely sandy bottom. There is a canoe and sup boards, however we did not use them as the water was a bit rough. I would recommend this place for any family get away."

"The house and grounds of the property are beautiful! House is tastefully decorated and the gardens are stunning. Hosts are friendly and available to answer questions. Guests should be aware that there are tenants in the basement, but there is a separate entrance and no interaction. We especially appreciated the binder with instructions for appliances and menus etc to local restaurants. Plus the kind invitation to help ourselves to fresh eggs from the chickens and veggies from the grounds! Highly...
