"WOW! We have stayed at tons of vacation rentals, but this was our family favorite! We loved the quite, peaceful location. It was close enough to town and the state parks/ beaches, but far enough away in a secluded area that let us see the stars at night and herds of deer on the driveway in the morning. The game room was also a big hit. And being able to deal with Brandon who was super-fast to respond to messages made everything a breeze. Brandon answered every question and went above and beyond to make great recommendations for us. He pointed out restaurants, beaches and fun antique shops and that made our stay memorable. It was so much fun! As for the cabin, it was clean and had absolutely everything we needed. all of the amenities were well thought out and we appreciated that very much."

"Older motel but very nice. Comfortable room and bed. Great location near parks and bike trail. Also perfect for sightseeing in the area, near lots to do. Pool and hot tub were great. Breakfast was okay but many restaurants close by. Really enjoyed my stay and staff helped with recommendations."

"Excellent property for my large family. We have 18 people. We had so much fun! We had everything we needed. Well-stocked kitchen. The pavilion was absolutely amazing and was a true selling point when I was searching for a property for our family vacation. We had all our meals out there, played games, littles one did craft time out there as well. We had beautiful weather all week, but knew that if it rained, we still were under the roof! The extra refrigerators were much appreciated!The kayaks and row boats and life jackets were used daily and my family loved it! Black Lake is so clean and the sandy bottom is wonderful! It is nice that it is shallow a long way out; less worry with smaller children. We brought our fishing boat. So nice to have the boat dock available. We also had purchased two stand-up paddle boards for the trip; the lake was perfect for this; so calm in the mornings and early evenings.Adjoining rooms were great for the parents who had little ones.The extra large firepit was so nice and the height of it felt so safe for little kids to be out there.I would love to return for another family vacation!If you are looking for brand new and modern, this is not the place. But who spends their days in their rooms? If you are looking for character with vintage cottage charm, this IS the place! We hardly left the property because we loved it and had everything right there!I HIGHLY recommend this property! Can’t say enough!"
