"Older motel but very nice. Comfortable room and bed. Great location near parks and bike trail. Also perfect for sightseeing in the area, near lots to do. Pool and hot tub were great. Breakfast was okay but many restaurants close by. Really enjoyed my stay and staff helped with recommendations."

"Excellent property for my large family. We have 18 people. We had so much fun! We had everything we needed. Well-stocked kitchen. The pavilion was absolutely amazing and was a true selling point when I was searching for a property for our family vacation. We had all our meals out there, played games, littles one did craft time out there as well. We had beautiful weather all week, but knew that if it rained, we still were under the roof! The extra refrigerators were much appreciated!The kayaks and row boats and life jackets were used daily and my family loved it! Black Lake is so clean and the sandy bottom is wonderful! It is nice that it is shallow a long way out; less worry with smaller children. We brought our fishing boat. So nice to have the boat dock available. We also had purchased two stand-up paddle boards for the trip; the lake was perfect for this; so calm in the mornings and early evenings.Adjoining rooms were great for the parents who had little ones.The extra large firepit was so nice and the height of it felt so safe for little kids to be out there.I would love to return for another family vacation!If you are looking for brand new and modern, this is not the place. But who spends their days in their rooms? If you are looking for character with vintage cottage charm, this IS the place! We hardly left the property because we loved it and had everything right there!I HIGHLY recommend this property! Can’t say enough!"

"We absolutely LOVED our stay at Ocqueoc. Penny was a fantastic host, and the cabin is adorable. We stayed for a week, and it was quiet, relaxing, and peaceful. We had a space for our fishing boat and a place to keep our boat trailer. Very clean cabin! It was a fantastic getaway, and our pups loved it there too! Only a 20 minute drive to towns, but it feels like you are in the middle of nature."

"The Cabin is easy to get to, very quiet, cabin is very clean, has interesting books to read about the area, the Cabin is ranch style, and has local map of the area trails. My husband saw a deer across the road on the first day. We had a great stay."

"Great place - beautiful seating area outside - very peaceful - our adult kids loved the lake and the kayaks. The only thing we would suggest is to let people know that there are no tv channels. They do have a dvd player so you can watch videos but we didn’t know that before we came. So if you like to watch tv you should bring a firestick or dvds. We had great weather so we weren’t inside much but if it was rainy it would be nice to watch tv. We would definitely come here again - it was wonderful!"
