Our family had a wonderful time staying at the Smith Treehouse! The house is in a great wilderness setting, with a plenty of things to do to relax indoors and outdoors. The proximity to Lake Lure/Chimney Rock was great, just 10 minutes away to fun swimming in the lake with the grandkids. The view of the mountains from the balcony is just stunning; the hot tub on the balcony is a bonus! And seeing a black bear three times in the yard was the cherry on top! We will be back!
We absolutely enjoyed our stay . Ray was amazing and very helpful. The views and the hot tub were amazing. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Our whole family was delighted with our stay. We will definitely be back !
Our family was looking for a quiet getaway near outdoor adventures and this checked all the boxes. The house was clean and we enjoyed the hot tub every evening. Would definitely go back!
We had a fabulous weekend at this meticulously maintained home. The views from the hot tub are amazing. The house was spotless. The playground was perfect for our children. We were in a great location to be a little far away from things but an easy drive to Asheville, hiking, and activities. Would def stay again!
Smith Treehouse exceeded our very high expectations, providing the perfect location to decompress and enjoy all of the tranquility and beauty of the Lake Lure/Chimney Rock area. The house could not have been cleaner or more ideally located, an easy and stress-free 15 minute drive into Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. An excellent grocery store within five minutes was convenient as well. The mountain view from the balcony was gorgeous and the hot tub felt great after hiking the area trails. Ray was quick to respond to questions and had a nice welcome note and bottle of wine waiting for us on arrival. Great, great vacation.

Great family getaway
We loved our November stay! The house was beautiful and the hot tub was perfect for frosty mornings. We did end up grabbing a few games, puzzles and cards to play in the evenings. No wifi... so if any business to do, make alternate arrangements :) Lots of outdoor things do in Lake Lure. Our tweenagers enjoyed the trip as much as we did. We would love to return someday.
Wonderful home with beautiful views! Home was very clean and relaxing! Owner was great to work with and we enjoyed tubing and Chimney Rock! Great family vacation!
The view from the neighborhood and the back deck were amazing. It was just a few minutes drive from the lake and the grocery store which made it a perfect spot to unplug while still having access to amenities.
Nice, quiet, gated neighborhood.
Very clean, new, well furnished mtn house with beautiful views. Enjoyed our stay! Loved the hot tub! Recommendations: Add basic sports channel such as espn. Add board and card games and/or small gaming space in garage area that can be accessed when renting such as foosball table on rainy days.
We loved the house and the location. We enjoyed using the hot tub forewarning it is hot!!!! We couldn’t figure out how to turn the temp down but absolutely loved it. The kids enjoyed the playground and the passes to Bald Eagle Resort. The views are incredible and it’s worth every penny. Can’t wait to go back.
We would like to return to this property. Everything was far beyond our expectations. The view is amazing, and the property owners have ensured that their guests are comfortable throughout their stay. What a wonderful getaway location! LEdall
Communication was outstanding, the property was even more amazing in person, the views are stunning...We cannot say enough about this rental! We’ve already started planning another trip back!

Beautiful home in the mountains
I can’t say enough about this home. It’s so new that it isn’t on Bing maps! Nestled in the hills, it has a gorgeous mountain view from the deck and hot tub. The open plan living area features a huge, well equipped kitchen, leather reclining sofas in the living room and a dining table that seats 8. Outside, there’s a play structure, a screened gazebo with a second deck looking towards the mountains, and another covered patio. The bunk bed, with a full lower bed, was perfect for my daughter, her husband, and their three year old.
The house is 5 minutes from a grocery,10 minutes from Lake Lure, and 20 minutes from Chimney Rock. There was so much fun to be had that my 3 year old granddaughter didn’t want to leave - “I want to stay here 100 days!!”

Fantastic Home in the NC Woods near great sites!
We had a phenomenal time at Smith's Treehouse. Perfect spot for our family of 6. Close to great hiking/sites and Lake Lure. And, for us, close enough driving distance to take advantage of all Asheville has to offer. We really enjoyed our stay and thought the house was excellent.

Great location and views!
New construction, great layout and location. The morning views on the deck made our first cup of coffee more enjoyable! Loved that we were away from all the crowds but with a grocery store 6 minutes away. We would gladly recommend this rental to anyone. Thank you for sharing your lovely house!
