"What can I say? Perfect. Not a singular complaint. The hosts were amazing. The cabin was exceptional, with a private balcony, amazing tub, comfortable bed, high-quality bedding and furnishings. Our cabin had a kitchen with everything we would need. The property was exquisite and the saltwater pool and hottub were highlights. Firepit and grill station were clean and inviting. There was very little reason to leave the property (we did for great local food and sights). The hosts are very accommodating, friendly, and available. We are absolutely going back. 10/10. Go. This is the place you're looking for near Lake Lure."

"Michael was the most responsive renter I have ever encountered renting from VRBO. He was very organized and easy to talk to. Super cute property -- well-appointed inside and outside. Great location, 2 mins to town, 5 mins to grocery store, walk across the street to a restaurant on the lake. Lake Lure is very hilly everywhere, and this house is like a MOST of the houses on the lake, there are stairs to everything. We rented a boat one day and noticed that many houses had 3x the stairs this one has. You get used to it. Look at it as the exercise that counters everything you are going to eat on vacation. But you can't go to this area of the state to sit and not walk. Highly recommend!"

"My family and I visited Lake Lure to celebrate Father's Day 2026. My husband was absolutely delighted. In his opinion, this was the best lakeside rental we’ve ever had—and we’ve certainly rented quite a few. He accomplished his goal: fishing. He caught plenty of fish, but the one that really made him happy was a bass; in fact, it was the biggest one he’s ever caught, weighing in at 8 pounds.As for the house, it is very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing any kind of meal, and the outdoor grill was wonderful. The house was clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The best part is the view of the lake and mountains. You can tell the owners have put a lot of care into every detail; there is a beautiful designated area for swimming with a nice access, where even small children can swim safely. I truly enjoyed being there. And there are plenty of spots to sit and enjoy the scenery. My husband and I enjoyed the view while having our morning coffee; we even had a visit from a hummingbird. The sunsets were also beautiful and majestic.The team managing the property and providing support—Yonder—was extraordinary. They were very kind and attentive; whenever a question came up, they responded immediately. A huge thank you to the Yonder team for their hospitality. While being there, we visited Lake Lure Beach, El Lago Mexican Restaurant, Lake House Bar and Grill, and The 828 Restaurant; all were good. It was a great vacation. Definitely 5 stars."

"Our stay at Lake Lure was incredible! We caught so many fish from the house, bought floats to float and swim all day, grilled out for dinner and soaked up all of the lake life we could! A big bear even came by the house, plopped down to drink some lake water, and went on his way. There are a lot of stairs to and from the home to your car, but they are worth it! We had 3 of us stay here, two adults and one child, and it was perfect!"

"Had a great time here! Great location. The stairs were a lot, but definitely worth being so close to the water! Very clean and organized inside, comfy beds, and a very reasonable to-do list before checking out. Main problem was the spiders and spiderwebs outside! Definitely need a cleaning/pest service for certain times of the year, but would definitely stay here again despite the bugs. Loved the paddle boards and life jackets. Thanks for letting us enjoy the home!"
