"Room was excellent, breakfast was disappointing. They apparently ran out of orange juice so I was told to go next door and buy some, that was their responsibility as I was already paying $13 for an okay buffet."

"I'll be honest Willow House is part of why I committed to this trip. I saw it online and thought, this alone is worth going. And I say that as someone who has been burned by listings that oversell and underdeliver. Willow House is the opposite. The photos do not do it justice. The decor, the style, the way everything fits the landscape. It's minimal desert architecture done exactly right. Not only was the design thought out and intentional, but they clearly thought through the entire experience from start to finish for their guests. The rooms were pristine. The whole place was immaculate. And the practical side matched the aesthetic. The kitchen was fully equipped with pots, pans, utensils, everything you'd need to actually cook. Plus the basics: spice rack, oils, all of it. You just brought groceries and you were set. There was a designated wine bar with fridge and coffee bar. They provided coffee pods and beans for their machines. Someone actually thought about what it feels like to stay there, not just what it looks like in photos. The setting alone was incredible. You can see Big Bend National Park and Santa Elena Canyon in the distance. I will absolutely be back. One of the best stays I've ever had."

"Clean cute room. Great view. Would give higher mark but for the price the room should have its own mini fridge & coffee maker. The outdoor community fridge & coffee maker is nice but not convenient day or night. Only one very short shower and hot water ran out."

"This place was nice and unique. The communication was EXCELLENT as were the directions. There are lots of places to stay in Terlingua and this one was very unique. I loved that you could open the windows at night. The kitchen was great for morning breakfast burritos. The highlight was the outdoor patio. It was covered and very relaxing!!! We even had a Roadrunner visit us everyday.Just some notes (do NOT take these as negatives). I took a couple along as a belated wedding gift. As stated there is a second bedroom (separate). If you want to use the BEAUTIFUL bathroom at night, you must go outside and around to the bathroom through and outside door. Bring a flashlight. Second, there is NOT a living room area. We spent our time on the patio, however, if you wanted to stay inside you would sit on your bed. I would recommend this place for your stay. OH, the eating places are a close walk away :)"

"The Bank had a great front porch with rocking chairs and a fabulous view of the mountains and the sunset. The bed was comfortable, but the room lacked a coffee maker, tissues, and a chair to sit in, though there was a small stool covered in towels. Someone left the last 2 sections of the toilet paper on the roll instead of changing it out for a new one, and the sink still had clumpy soap residue from previous renter. The shower also had mold in it, so I was a bit dissappointed in the amenities for the price."
