"Absolutely loved the Ten Bits. The location is very off the beaten path, and rain caused us a bit of a challenge getting in on day one, but our host was very understanding, helped us find a different place to stay for the night, and refunded us for one night no questions asked. After that we got to the Bank and spent the next 3 nights enjoying the area and the ranch. I highly recommend the property and plan to stay again in the future!"

"This place is absolutely beautiful! My SO and I absolutely love it here, we will be coming back! The place is peaceful, beautiful scenery and it’s pet friendly (we were able to bring our fur baby with us)! The host, Sis, was fantastic! They kept the kitchen communal area cleaned and stocked, they were very sweet and kept water stocked and available for all guests, and communication was great! I cannot recommend Ten Bits Ranch enough!! I’m already recommending this place to friends and acquaintances. Side note: Make sure to also read your emails after you book - they send you all the info. you need and more! (Which I also loved) They went above and beyond!"

"After staying at a couple of nights at high-end resort rooms in the Big Bend area--which were "just okay" in terms of room size, we were pleasantly surprised to open the door to the Emory room at Paisano RV Park & Inn. Instead of an older, dark room what we found at Paisanos was a bright, super large one bedroom apartment: seating area, kitchen, small dining table and chairs, and a lovely king size bedroom. The bed was incredibly comfy, the bathroom was large also. The location was not far from the Starlight Theater Restaurant ; the entrance to the Big Bend Ranch State Park was also close-by. The exterior of the building (with big wire dinosaur) and plain edifice was somewhat deceiving, and not at all indicative of the room we enjoyed for our one night stay. If we get to return to the Big Bend area, this would be our first choice for an accommodation, (albeit no pool, golf course or fancy courtyards at the resorts). We do recommend the nearby Far Flung Outdoor Center that arranged for our canoe paddling experience down the Rio Grande."

"We enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Greasewood Grocery. The cabin is right off the main road headed to Terlingua. It’s is a rain water only non-potable water source, which was not a problem for us. We brought our own water for drinking. The shower has an instant-hot water heater., which worked great. The AC kept us cold. It does have WiFi, but we did not test it during our stay. The host is very friendly and check-in process was simple. Great place to use as a base camp while exploring the Big Bend area. 👍 PS. We did have several people stop by thinking it really was a small grocery store. 😂"

Ten Bits Ranch - Room # 17 - Post Office

"Stayed for two nites and base for three days in Big Bend and Big Bend Ranch. I was put off at first with the 'wild west' theme but the remote location down a two mile gravel [and mud if rains], is isolated, private and silent. Shared kitchen was fine for our time with 1/3 of the units rented in possibly hot May. Get there early though for the better coffee pods and creme cheese. These units are spacious, generous plans and tall ceilings [with fan], minimal, and our 'room' number 17 was superiorly placed for view from porch in thunder storms. Privacy and great view out the rear window to the close-by rock shards. The showers are big enough for two, plenty of warm water. 17 had new appliances [fridge, microwave]. We had storms each late afternoon or evening [so much for dark skies] and the views to the peaks across was stunning. We were even able to turn off the AC [which worked wonderfully] at nite. We had clear directions on getting there and access."
