Excellent stay, all was first class, owner was brilliant went out of her way to help location and weather excellent, cannot recommended the hotel enough first class

Reasonable hotel
Hotel was very responsive and helpful both pre and during stay. Room was very basic but had what you needed. Breakfast not great, was not confident that a lot of it was fresh and the normal bread was too stale to eat everyday. Overall, was comfortable and very acceptable. Would use it again

Staying in Kauppahotelli Grand
Very good service, friendly staff in the kitchen, excellent breakfast. Good location in the centre of Lahti with on site parking. Good value for money overall. Comfortable beds. Interior looked a bit outdated though.

Rather old-fashioned hotel poor value for money
Thankfully we checked-in around midday before going out with relatives because reception closes about 7 pm and the front door is locked. When we returned at around 9 pm, there was no bar or anywhere to sit comfortably with friends. The room was quite small and adequate for one night but the weather was very hot and the ventilation limited. It cost us more than a very nice hotel in the centre of Helsinki, so we felt is was poor value for money.

Worst hotel experience ever!
This hotel is a desperate need of revamp. The reception, room etc areas are worn out and breakfast was very poor in terms of quality and choice. We found hair in the bathroom so things weren't tidy either and the room itself was cold and uninviting. The only good thing about this hotel was its central location. I can't believe how over priced hotels in Finland are - the price=quality are no match here!

Vanha hotelli, mutta aivan toimiva. Hinta ja laatu kohtaavat. Suosittelen hyväksi paikaksi yöpyä. Aamupala yhtä maukas kuin muualla.

Hotelli on aikansa elänyt,huone pieni,kylpyhuone epäkäytännöllinen. Aamupala riittävä,mutta aamupalahuone tosi kylmä. Sänky oli hyvä,mikä lienee tärkeintä.

Mukava perushotelli. Yleiset tilat jo hieman kuluneita, mutta esimerkiksi pienehkön huoneen sängyt mukavat ja huone siisti. Aamupala oli maistuva ja monipuolinen ja palvelu ystävällistä. Lämmin autopaikoitus ehdoton plussa talvella.

Todella viihtyisä, vaikka kalustus vanhahtava ja kulunutta. Ystävällinen palvelu, perus hyvä aamupala, puhtaat tilat, hyvä sijainti. Huone vähän viileä, mutta sain pyydettäessä ylimääräisen peiton. Hyvä hinta/laatusuhde, majoitun toistekin.

Vanhat tilat ja tuoksu sen mukainen, homeen tuoksua en erottanut mutta tunkkainen. Raitisilmaventtiili piti itse avata. Vessanpönttö haisi virtsalle ja viemäri tuoksahti aamulla. Aamiaisella vihannekset ikävä kyllä eilisiä joten kylmäsavulohta en uskaltanut ottaa. Perushuttua.

Huone hieman viileä, vaikka lämpöpatterin termostaatti oli täysillä. Myös aamiaissali oli viileä, ulkopusero päällä tarkeni. Huoneen avaimet ovat harvinaisesti ura-avaimia 90-luvulta.
