So much to like. The rooms are clean and spacious. The views of the ocean were wonderful even though we were close to the front of the hotel. lots of options for dining on the property and within walking distance. The ocean front walking path was wonderful for morning walks. And the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Staffs were professional and friendly. Wish there were more activities but I know that was due to the fire in Maui. Probably will go back in a couple of years.
The staff and crew were all extremely nice. The building, landscaping and views were amazing. The access to amenities and beach were plentiful and easy.
My only few complaints were the general store closes too early, the parking is sparse and VERY tight especially since your paying daily parking fees. And 1 of the on-property restaurant was not open.
These were all minor complaints and did not have a major impact on our stay or experience.
I love this resort. We stayed in the other side last time and I do feel like it was nicer and newer. Each one is a little different. I was told at check in that we would have housekeeping every day. We did not. I had to call down a few times to get things cleaned. They came and did it. But there was a lack of communication there. The beach is great here. We watched whales and turtles the entire day from our beach.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Room was clean and staff was friendly and courteous.
This property was one of the nicer properties in Maui that we saw while beach hopping. It was less busy and the beach access was great for snorkeling. Was centrally located to most shopping and dining. Just sad we had to leave.
I don’t think there is any value staying here over another more updated resort. Dining options and price left much to be desired. Food was subpar and service did not make up for it.
Love this resort and have stayed many times. This stay was not as excellent as previous trips in past years. Both bathroom sinks in room were clogged, room was supposed to be cleaned all 3 days but only got 1 day, got sick from fish tacos at Pailolo Bar & Grill. But would stay here again for sure.
The facility was beautiful, very crowded. The food was crap! The only good food I had was when I went off site. I was looking forward to resting and relaxing instead I was concerned how I was going to feed a growing 17 year old. Everything I bought at the facility was so expensive, the 17 year old had a cough, it cost $40 for a small bottle of cough syrup!
This is just the first night when we arrived. When I took a shower the soap dispensers were empty. When using the elevators, the hand sanitizer dispenser was empty, and a few of the beach chairs were broken.
Overall, great day service housekeeping was not available daily and when they went, it was not the best. The floors were wet and they didn’t stock up on your utility stuff.

Staff was great, rooms were clean, pools were warm. The ocean right outside the hotel is clean and allows you do do activities without leaving the area like snorkeling, swimming, boogie boarding, floating, etc)
Beautiful property. Room was very clean. Very family friendly (we traveled with our 3 and 5 year old). It is not located on Kaanapali beach (5 min drive), but we liked it much better because it was more laid back, less people and quieter (not so touristy). Still has a beach walk where you can visit multiple other resorts for more dining options and use the sister hotels pools. Highly recommend Dukes beach house(dinner) and Mauka Makai(breakfast) that are within walking distance. The only downside is they are understaffed at the pool for pool side service however, there was more staff the last two days we were there (friday and saturday). I'm not sure if it was because of the weekend or because summer vacation had just started (busy season). There is also no waiter service at restraunts on site (order at the front, seat yourself and then they bring your food and other things you need. Not sure if this will be changing as covid caused many staff shortages on the island. Otherwise great resort, friendly staff, store has many items, clean, best pools and would recommend and stay again.
