We have mixed emotions about our stay here. The unit is very spacious and has direct access to the pool area, which our kids loved. We walked to the beach and appreciated the wide assortment of beach toys provided by the host.Something to note before your stay. Only 2 very small rolls of toilet paper are given. The property manager response was: "The apartment is a self catering, the owner just supplied toilet paper for the arrival." So bring toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, dish washing soap and garbage bags, otherwise you will have to buy a large format from the local grocery store and have lots of left over. The unit has two washrooms, but the ensuite washroom shower wand does not stay in place, so you must hold it to shower and it only has partial glass, which means that you have to be very careful with your aim to avoid flooding the washroom (we ended up using the tiny shower in the main washroom instead). There also seems to be an intermittent issue with the tankless hot water heater as the hot water would stop part way through the shower and then magically return minutes later. This happened every time, so showers were never enjoyable. The ensuite also has extremely poor lighting (cheap LEDs), so my wife had go to the other washroom to do her makeup. The worst part of our experience was the property management company (Casas Do Barlavento). After many unanswered emails and escalation via VRBO, I finally got my 300 euro deposit returned after a month!
